Cerchio is my favorite restaurant in that area. The design is lovely, the food is great, though their service has somehow dwindled over time. Hope they can fix this issue. Otherwise, it's a good place for dates and dinners with close friends.

how is chateau 1771? looking from the outside in feels like a business lunch/dinner sort of a place,
They have pretty great food! Yup, I had the same vibe too at first but once you step in, the place feels quite homey and fit for having serious conversations. True that there are a lot of business meetings/dinners being held there but I'm chalking it up to ambience. Their seabass with chorizo saute is to die for. They offer pretty great homemade ice cream too! Try the cheese one with fresh blueberries on the side. Yum!
Forgot to mention Zucchini's in Sct. Tuason. They offer this lobster cream pasta dish and trust me when I say that it is DIVINE. One bite and you'll hear angels crying out for joy. Haha. No, seriously. It's that good. They have a decent wine list too! I don't think a lot of people know about this place thus it retains its quiet charm. Their seabass es muy excelente as well.

1 serious crush & 1 serious boyfriend throughout college. I remember that I used to halt in my tracks whenever my crush would pass by haha. I'd stammer too, like a tongue-tied schoolgirl (which I was back then ). Then when the ex started to court me, my parents allowed him to take me out on a date provided that we were with our friends (yes, strict ang parents ko haha). The ex chose the crush to accompany us! It was a very good day. In the back of my mind, I was secretly cringing at how fate worked. After our date, I found out through our common friends that the crush wanted to court me as well but lost his nerve when the ex asked him to accompany us on our date. Sheesh. When the ex and I got together, the crush would occasionally ask me out for coffee and donuts.Cello's was our hangout place and since we had common break times during Wednesday, it was convenient. It never got beyond that. Now both the ex and the crush are lovable friends.

It's something covert, as discussed with Redguard45. Something to spice up my otherwise vanilla life.

I'm up there almost every weekend! It's the nearest escape from Manila kaya go lang. I stay at Splendido whenever I'm up there though. The view is amazing from our balcony. I feel as if I'm in Middle Earth whenever I step out on our balcony. I think they rent out the rooms in the Splendido Towers, around 3500/night for the studio type units. The Boutique Bed and Breakfast place is also great, really nice rooms. They also have a hotel in Cliff House which houses good rooms too. You can't go wrong with Discovery Suites as well. T House used to be good pero now it leaves much for improvement.
Food: Hmm dami dito haha. Go-to place for breakfast would always be Bag of Beans and Antonio's. Bawai's serves good authentic Vietnamese food though you have to make a reservation about 2 days before your trip. Manos and Sonya's Garden are given as well. La Esquina in Splendido has good food too (Grilled Salmon ftw!).
Places to visit: Caleruega and Chapel on the Hill, if you're into that kind of thing. Caleruega has the best ambience though I prefer Chapel on the Hill's chapel. It's got a labyrinth etched on the stone floors and it signifies the journey to the Holy Land. You can walk the labyrinth until you reach the center and say a prayer, just remember to remove your shoes when you do it. Haven't been to People's Park in ages though maraming tao parin whenever I drive by it, as usual.
Pasalubongs: Rowena's buco tarts! Their mango tart y ube halaya are also good. They have a resto at the back of their pasalubong store and the potato wedges are orgasmic haha. There's the ube from Good Shepherd but the one from Baguio's way better. Pineapples too! The street vendors sell them cheaper than those in the market.
Hope this helps! Enjoy your stay there guys!

History, literature, and philosophy. Gosh you should see my library at home. Tons of books on those subject matters! I love the classics. I also love to go on roadtrips. Tagaytay's the nearest escape from Manila and I try to go up there very weekend.
Once I've saved up enough money, I'm planning on making the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

Café Mary Grace, hands down. Good food, good coffee, good ambience, great service!

MoMo Café's one of my ultimate fave restos. Their salmon with risotto is to die for! They have great desserts too; my favorite's the cookie dough cheesecake. They're known for their langka sansrival too. Haven't tried it yet but the parentals say it's good.

True-blue Cule here! I love Barça! They really are the best team in the world IMHO. I've also been a superfan of the Spanish football team since my gradeschool days. I prefer watching futbol to basketball or any other sport.

I want to have a tattoo done before my 26th birthday haha. My parents are going to go ballistic when they fid out but wth. It'll be my first tattoo! I want a quote by either Plato or Paulo Coelho tattooed by my left ribcage.
Plato: "Love" is the name for the desire and pursuit of wholeness.
Coelho: El universo siempre conspira a favor de los soñadores.
Looking to have it done in 55 Tinta in Maginhawa. Whatchoo guys think?

Mierda! - s@%t in Spanish
Merde! - s@%t in French
Me cago en la leche de su madre! - I s@%t in the milk of your mother. A very popular insult in Spain. Ooh also, this insult is where we get the Pinoy expletive "leche" from. Since the Filipinos did not know how to speak the Spanish language before during the Spanish occupation, they thought that the last word in the phrase was the main insult being hurled at the offendee and thus, the Pinoy curse "leche" was born. :-)

Hmm here's the rub. Growing up I've been raised primarily in the English language. I speak English fluently and I think in English. I only learned how to speak Filipino when I was in grade 1 and I had a hard time studying it in school. Even now I still pronounce certain words in a funny way but I use Filipino as my main language for everyday.
It's good to know how to speak English fluently. It's a good language to think in, as is Spanish. Being good at English and bad at Filipino doesn't make one less of a Pinoy. Filipino parin naman yung tao kahit na nahihirapan magsalita in Filipino. The soul and essence of being a Pinoy is still there, regardless of what language is spoken, IMO.
