  1. I'm an avid music lover myself (my preference is eclectic - rock, jazz, r & b, classical, rap, reggae, electronic, you name it). I notice that a lot of the new acts/bands and material nowadays are simply a rehash of the sound of the 60s and the 70s...

  2. sa playboy, little fanny annie hehehe

He he. Yeah, little Anne Fannie and also the cool illustrations by Vargas. I still have some copies of 70s and 80s playboys na pinag pasa-pasahan namin noong High School. You can probably lift a lot of DNA evidence from these copies :P

What's interesting is that Voltes V isn't that famous in Japan.

  4. Mga pards! Question lang. Sino ba ang tumugtog nung kantang "El Bimbo"? 70s yun diba?

The answer to your question is right here. Presenting the Top 40 Singles of 1975 (Week 35). FYI, it got to No. 12. BTW, the group was French....

  5. saw IMELDA yesterday. yung film documentary. I vivdly remember the assassination attempt scene by the man with a bolo. that was in 1972....kagigising ko lang at naiwan kong bukas ang TV, nakita ko sa TV nagkakagulo mga taong naka barong with imelda on her way to an ambulance, the scene was replayed and I saw a man weild a bolo and sliced a few cut to imelda's forearms.

I plan to watch it within the week.

If you were to rate it objectively, do you think it was a good film? If I were not a Filipino, would the movie sustain my interest?

  6. John Ritter died already. I don't know what happened to Joyce de Witt.

According to the internet movie database, she makes TV guest appearances occasionally...

Since we lived in QC, we were rarely in the Makati shopping area when I was growing up in the 70s. Usually, it was Cubao for us - COD, Rustan's Ali Mall. We would view the COD animated mannequin display every Christmas....

  7. fave show

Come and knock on our door

    We've been waiting for you

Where the kisses are hers and hers and his

    Three's company, too!

Come and dance on our floor

Take a step that is new

We've a loveable space that needs your face

    Three's company, too!

You'll see that life is a ball again and

    laughter is callin' for you

    Down at our rendezvous

    Threes company, too!

Yup, I remember that show. Back then Suzanne Sommers was the stuff of wet dreams when I was eleven. There was a playboy spread with her in it sometime in the mid 80's I think where it featured playboy test shots of her before she became famous.

    Cheers!

  8. trumpo today - beyblade

got an atari 2600 still working, altho i had to make do with d joysticks,

have tennis, cowboy shootout, donkey kong and the ye olde games that came with the console - night driver, pong and super pong

Collector's item na and Atari Console ngayon. The first home video game na nalaro ko ay yung Pong. I think mga Grade 4 or 5 ako nun. My cousin owned it. Dala ng Tito ko paguwin niya from the States.

When I was in Grade 7 to around 1st year High came the advent of video games sa arcade as we know it. We used to go to Greenhills after class to play Space Invaders, Galaxians and Donkey Kong. Atari soon followed......

  9. ..."i feel unhappy, i feel so sad, i've lost the best friend that i've ever had...she was my woman, i loved her so...but it's too late now, i've let her go...i'm going through changes..." allright! thanks for the memories, pre. meron din palang nakikining ng black sabbath dito! yeah, 4 was great, although ang type ko talaga yung 1 (album with haunted house and scary-looking woman on the cover). really raw and unpolished...ibang klaseng guitarista si tony iomi. kaya lang, medyo baduy na si ozzy ngayon...the dove-head-ripping-off-wth-his-mouth days are long gone!!! tumatanda na.

Loved 1 as well. Kaso I really loved Supernaut from Sabbath IV. Other early faves are Paranoid and Iron Man from the 2nd album (I think?).

Actually, watching the Osbournes on MTV makes me feel kind of sad. He's been reduced to a caricature of his former self....Pehaps if Freddy Mercury were alive TV execs would have considered him for Queer Eye for the Straight Guy...
