  1. 1. There are people who tend to become obsessed with people they hate or at least don't like.

    2. Some people are really good in getting your words twisted to their own advantage.

    3. Madami talagang sip-sip sa mundo and they don't seem to use their brains before making any decisions.

    4. Despite all these, God will ultimately be there to keep you grounded and help you have a clear mind so you won't let these people destroy you.

The Pursuit of Happiness (Ironically though, I never believed that happiness should be pursued. The more you pursue it, the less chances you'll have in finding it. You won't be able to appreciate what you have and find joy in them if you keep looking for other things that will make you happy.)

  3. A lot of Filipinos are guilty of blatantly and excessively associating themselves with another Filipino who has become famous and successful. Gives me the impression that they are in dire need of self-gratification by having to draw their pride and honor from someone else because they are well-known Pinoys. And I think that schools and books partly responsible for that "attitude" because we were taught and raised to be triumphalist to the extent that it's almost like taking/sharing credit for someone else's success. I don't mind when people say "proud to be Pinoy" but too much of it ain't cool. And it's only Pinoys who use such a line a little too much.

Another thing that really annoys me is how a lot of Filipinos are being sensitive towards racism when we are also racists (and so much into stereotypes) in our own ways (e.g. towards Indians - ay 5-6 5-6 mabaho, African Americans - negro and other politically incorrect terms, etc.). Pag Pinoy ang nilait or natamaan ng racist remarks, galit na galit. They will then retaliate and call those people racists and other things that are totally uncalled for, without noticing that they are already making racist remarks as well. Almost like criticism and feedback, whether constructive or not, from others is not welcome. Pinoy ako eh, magaling ako.

One more thing - some Pinoys are more discriminating towards their fellow Filipinos. Case in point - You walk in to a store and the sales people look at you from head to toe as if measuring you up and is very hostile towards you. Then comes a Caucasian girl/guy and the sales people suddenly become oh-so-hospitable and "natataranta" just to assist the foreigner.

How some of those blessed with a good command of the English language with good accent (whether or not English is your first language or as a result of years of training in call centres) laugh at other people's lack of good communication skills using the English language. Even sometimes hear them say "Ay Bisaya". Ikaw na, ikaw na ang magaling mag-English!
