Overrated Magic Johnson, mas magaling si John Stockton kung point guard ang pag-uusapan. Mas maganda lang panoorin si Magic kasi yung mga pasa nya pinapaganda pa.

Magic is the all time leader in assist per game ... as you said un pasa niya pinapaganda pa. So hindi lang magandang panoorin counted as assist pa un mga pasa. Paano siya naging overrated kung ganun when his stats speaks for him?

The thing is Thoss does not have a good perimeter game that could extend to 15-18 ft away from the basket. Devance is more athletic/agile too which is badly needed to defend against the BIGS of Asia

Si Greg S. naglalaro sa Flying V pre-season tournament for Ateneo. Mukhang sa pinasali lang sa Gilas ito ni MVP para mag train at mag improve for the coming UAAP season and not really for FLAG and COUNTRY

From its last 2 games, both come from behind wins. Gilas is showing "a lot of character". Palaban at hindi basta bumibitaw pag nalamangan.

Yes yun ang gusto ni Toroman pero Commish Salud has set a guideline for players to be on loan to Gilas

 

Commissioner Chito Salud was steadfast in saying that the rule of the PBA must be followed. He said:

 

“The players borrowed by Smart Gilas retained the option of playing in the third conference provided that if they decide to play, it’s from start to finish. And if they decide not to play, it’s from start to finish. But there’s no question that they will play for the national team by September.”

For one Coach Toroman was given the right to choose which group he wants the team to play. Obviously he decided to be in the lighter group.

For me, their performance in this tournament can indicate how "competitive" this team will be in the FIBA ASIA. If we don't win this tourney, then I guess it would be a tall order to expect them to win in the FIBA ASIA and achieve its GOAL of qualifying for the Olympics.

who would ever thought memphis will be where they are now after trading Pau supposedly for nothing to the LAKERS. Trading him away landed them MARC and the cap space to sign ZACH which have helped the team in this run.

With Douthit, Taulava, Slaughter and Aguilar, SG has 4 big guys who can bang in the inside although Aguilar is more of a finesse player, I think he'll have to mix it up in the inside with the big guys of China, Sokor and Iran.

YES, he plays both guard position. Personally, I think he will be asked to play more minutes at the point for the Gin Kings.

Because of the handicap system, the Gin Kings are allowed only an import with a max height of 6'2". Looking at the game of NATE and how he help the cause of the gin kings the ideal type of an import for the coming conference would be a Sean Chambers-like of an import.

But a SCORING PG could also help I think ... Stinson is more of a slasher than a shooter I believe so his ability to create and draw the defense to him inside the paint should allow the shooters open looks.

i'm just curious what will happen to ginebra's lineup soon. will an unhappy MC47 stays with the team? will willie miller be traded? will the coaching staff be reshuffled once again? what will happen to menk and hatfield? will helterbrand be activated?

I would love to see Miller be traded and the team retaining MC47. Aquino and Wilson could be good back-up guards. Ofcourse nandiyan pa rin si Tubid who is a natural 2. The team needs to improve on the BIGS (forwards and center position).
