That's what happened to me with my girlfriend of 5 years now. She had a boyfriend back them but still, I expressed my feelings for her and surprisingly, she felt the same way too. The referee should given him a straight red for that. As of the reaction of other EPL players, referees don't protect them that much. I agree with you that De Jong should be suspended for a number of matches. He shouldn't wait for the time that someone gets back at him outside the pitch. And his freakin' coach shouldn't protect this son of a gun. That tackle could've ended Ben Arfa's career. Hope he comes back soon.
