The last book I read that made an impression was Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke. Nice enough little novel that could've been more than it was - had promise, but ultimately did not deliver. Still liked it, albeit not something I'd look for to re-read.

Wait, I've changed my mind - I don't want to share the wisdom after all. I'm a selfish pr!ck and people should really figure it out on their own. No shortcuts!

Dude. I love Pork Jerky. But around here, I'm used to hearing it called Mah-pah.

Tonight's dinner was a Corned Beef Pandesal and a Dark Mocha Frappuccino.

I had lunch at Max's Fried Chicken today, had Fried Chicken (of course!), Lechon Kawali, Laing, and Sinigang na Bangus. Sarap to the bones!

Why would they get female janitors to clean the Men's Room is what I'd like to know!

Have you ever caught yourself laughing maniacally like some cartoon super villain ("Bwa-Hahahaha!", "Mwa-Hahahaha!", or some variation thereof)? It happened to me just this morning, and for no particular reason at that.

by da way, is the Peking garden in Greenbelt 5 one of the more newer establishments to open ?? (I didn't seem to notice its existence the last time I was in the area)

 

Yep, one whole bird was obviously too much for three people - we ended up having to take home the leftovers. And yes again, to Peking Duck being one of the newer establishments in GB5. I believe they opened last month or in January.

Peking Garden is my current favorite restaurant at Greenbelt 5.

I recently shared a Peking Duck (just the one way where you wrap slices of it with cucumber and spring onion) dinner there with two other people. We obviously were not able to finish the whole thing, but we certainly gave it the old college try!

Several of my favorite restaurants have branches at the Fort: Le Souffle, Mamou's, and Cafe Juanita are ones that immediately come to mind.
