RX is ok but most of their DJs talk too much, like Chico and Delamar (hehe, peace to their fans here ) but they're acceptable

on some days (on my part, that is, hehe)...

Rico and Jude dont talk much compared to their colleagues... while Louie and Christy always go pa-cute and lots of screaming from Christy...the so-called "Awesome Twosome" sucks...yan ang panay pa-cute and lots and lots of talking they always go past their time slot... the "Playtime" girls do lots and lots of talk din, and flirting... but sometimes they're ok...you'd rather listen to Boys' Night Out @ Magic 89.9 WTM...

After that, that's when the smooth music plays in RX... from 3some by Tom Alvarez, you get to listen to 3 straight songs with no DJ talking in between from 11pm to 3 am then 3am to 6am would be Gelli, who doesn't talk much about herself and only does the greets and requests (which is all right though sometimes draining)....

halatang babad sa RX but I also try the others depending on the mood...now it's "Monster's Riot" @ RX playing... hump day 80s/90s and early 2000s...

I'd say anywhere between 3-5L/day.

The fight scenes are definitly more violent than the original version. Even during the tournament wherein hitting the face with fists is allowed to earn a point. Then there are scenes in which the kids, after receiving a kick, gets flown off the mat....... One can't help but think that its kinda hard for 12 year olds to be able to execute and endure that kind of punishment. The finishing move used by DRE was a little over the top for someone who started learning kung fu only for a few weeks (months at the most) but it sure was fun to watch.

 

JADEN SMITH is a joy to watch ...... a lot of the way he talks and moves is somewhat a clone of his father (will smith). I wouldn't be surprised if this kid grew up to be a better actor than WILL.

 

Overall I enjoyed this feel good movie very much. So good that I wouldn't mind going for seconds ..... it was made well enough that even if I somehow knew the outcome of the story, I'm still getting the goose bumps especially during the final fight.

saw the mixed reviews in idmb.com and rottentomatoes... u just cant please everyone... heck even "Gone With the Wind" had critics as well as "Citizen X" and the great movies of yore hehehe

too bad the first american friend dre met in china was left out...the unknown actor should've been given a slightly bigger role as dre's friend...

the mei ying character's not that strong enough, i believe...but of course she's a cute lady and fun to watch...and jaden gets to kiss the chic in such an early age his dad Will did not have that chance when he was that age hehehe...

fight scenes were brutal enough for 12-year-olds...but for entertainment purposes, twas great...

Jackie Chan can really act and not just be funny like the "Rush Hour" series... he's a good second coming of Mr. Miyagi (Chinese version)...

hope they wont suck in the sequel though...heard Will Smith is not closin the door on lettin his son do a sequel with jackie... why not go to japan for the sequel and rediscover real karate this time? hehe...nah, that's not Mr. Han's forte then... maybe they can go to Chinatown and meet bad guy Jet Li (Lethal Weapon 4-style) and the triads...nah..

for now, families should enjoy watchin' this...especially parents who have kids who always throw their stuff (jacket, hehe) on the floor and not pickin' it up...

wont hurt too if u buy the DVD...and a plus for justin bieber fans, he's on the soundtrack with rapper jaden smith (he's so followin' will' lead from actor-to-rapper-to-actor again)...

on my end, hmmm...I can stick it when I joined the board as the usual lurker-who-got-referred-by-a-fellow-lurker...this PR dude of mine (he's writing for a moto magazine, i belive) asked if if I wanna check out this website which has the usual, women, sex, the works but then again, it's more than that....as most peeps here should know... friendships are built...bondings established and yes, fubu's generatin' all 'round am just keepin' it real, fellas, coz it happened to me and am sure to the many lucky but anonymous guys who would rather be in the background as they reminisce (or still enjoying ) their good fortunes with the women here...

goin back... that was dec. 18 2002... damn i was just past 25 then...how time flies...am a 30s goin to mid-30s guy now ....so yes, i got hooked on it...just lurkin...no postin...just readin stuff... and then...

there was this one major EB... i believe it's called the Post Valentine Party (2003)...aka PVP... they had this at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Malate (back then i was workin' for a broadsheet in Port Area, Manila )... so i was tempted to break the habit of bein' a lurker and just show up...see the faces behind the handles, the usual stuff for lurkers (right lurkers and non-posters? hehe) and then....

this PR dude friend of mine asked if we wanted to go...thinkin' for a few seconds then said, "why not? its close to my work place? so we decided to give it a go... and then...he called and said his car got whacked and had to go home since his family does not know it yet... so am challenged if am goin' there alone since i havent met any one personally back then...just readin' their posts and all...and nothin' else...

i believe the PVP 2003 date was February 18, 2003, if am not mistaken... and so it was... i took the courage to go there. Alone. Yes. Alone. As i got off the jeep ride from intramuros to mabini-pedro gil area, i walked goin to pan pacific and once there, i looked at every one who may be potential MTC members and just follow them. para hindi naman kakahiya na magisa ako kunwari kasama ko sila

then i upon reachin the entrance of the bar's venue, the two ladies whom i assumed were mtc members got past the bar that had the MTC banner so i muttered, "sayang ndi pala sila mtc" since am too close to back away, i decided to go and introduce myself and the usual... i believe ms leslie garcia was one of those at the entrance to welcome the newbies...like me

and then i was lucky to meet some pretty and interestin' individuals along the way... do remember meetin ms. flirty flirty (the pretty lady in blue) that time... she was friendly even if the guys-gals ratio was a terrible mismatch and of course, also got to meet iwasborntoloveyou (elai) and simply tina... and yeah, twas the first MTC EB i saw some ladies who are "very friendly" with the guys...and ladies dancin' topless on the stage i was like, oh, that's nice but of course am not denyin' i was glad to see the view back in the day...

and then, not just ladies, i also met some members of the famed MTC Wolves... i believe they're the first MTC basketball team in the board... and they're kind of high-rollers...meanin' high-spenders... the dudes there know they have it...and they can roll among the rest of the guys...and the lurker guys there were... ooh...ok...hehe...

and then...was glad to see a pretty lady escorted with two cono-lookin, amboy guys enterin the venue a few hours late...and the peeps just craned their necks to see who they were. turns out, the lady was Swit Lass, and the two guys were Dobermaxx and Debonnaire and i was like, MTC has lots of beautiful people around... not so bad at all and they were no snobs....they're as friendly as u can get even if they know they're high-rollers and has the right to snub peeps who are not their level...and that's good...

and this post is gettin long pardon my comments here, boss biz... some reminiscin', huh? back to reality...will try to remember other details soon.... hope the MTC Pioneers get to post their stories to tell... should be interestin'...

Anyway, anyone here saw the longest match ever in Tennis? Mahut vs. Isner. It's only the first round but both of the guys are already giving their best game. This is one of the reasons why I like tennis. 7+ hours!

well the current count is

federer: 16, nadal 7 (majors)...and rafa has not won any US Open yet... fed has won it all... so rafa still has a long, long, long, long, long, long, long way to go it's not like celtics 17, lakers 16...so to the nadal fans and federer haters...just accept it, aight? fed's still on top of his game even if he loses in this wimby...one major doesn't change the aura of a future tennis hall of famer...but at least rafa's fed's contra pelo...and that's good for the game...

so u tennis fans know that sharapova's gettin' steady with sasha vujacic? yes, the so-called, self-proclaimed "the machine" from the LA Lakers? eat ur heart out...hehehehe... lucky slovenian, eh? hehehe

and... any updates on the 10-hour match? are they resuming it later? cant imagine if fed and nadal would play for 10 hours they played four plus hours (i think) in a wimby final...but 10 hours plus? ur money's so much worth when that happens...
