  1. to the person who inquire more, im also posting the response here coz im not sure kung na-send ung response sa yo.

    1) bro in late 1999 i bought a 1995 nissan sentra second hand cab but it was just 1 year in use as one. hence, i had 4 years left in the 5-year license. the owner had to ditch the taxi because of opportunity abroad.

    2. during that time boundary I think was Php550 per day. car leaves 7am and is back at 9pm. a driver makes Php250 to 500 per day that time, depending on the day (malakas monday, friday and saturday).

    3. contract to own is Php1450 paid every week, which computes to Php75400 per year for 3 years, giving a total of Php226,200 for years 2,3 and 4th year of operation. Napakagaan nito sa kanya and in fact most contracts are 2 to 2.5 years. but i gave it to him for 3 years para mas lalo gumaan pagbayad nya, sort of tulong ko na rin sa family nya. condition was during first year of contract, the car is parked in my house. on second year of contract (or third year of operation), given that wala syang default, he gets to park the car in his house. everything is in legally binding contract. then each payment, i sign a receipt and give him a copy of his receipt. so a total of 52 receipts per year.

sometimes, pag nasira sasakyan, magrerequest sya to pay on the next week, which is ok lang as long as he makes good. i get to visit him sa house (walking distance lang where I live) to check on the car and see kung sira nga.

so i only had the car for the first 2 years. on year 1, i netted Php60,000 (meaning that is my cash balance at the end of year one labas na pagawa and maintenance). so if i add 226,200 + 60,000, I got a total of Php286,2000 at the end of 4 years. this is the same as saying I earned 22% return on investment.

here's what I could suggest further : limit the contract to 2.5 years, which is the standard. that means tataas ung weekly payment to compensate for the shortened time span.

also, if 2.5 years ang contract, start with letting him park the car in his home after 1.5 year of good payment in the contract, and not after 1 year like I did. added safety na rin sa yo. IMPORTANT to get a driver na malapit lang sa yo haybols at kilalanin pamilya. ung hindi pwede i-carnap sasakyan mo.

    good luck.

  8. What will you do during your retirement?

The general feeling I get from the few posts here

is that a passive income of 30,000 to 50,000 pesos per month

is enough to make people feel comfortable na?

    That's useful information.

About 1,000 to 2,000 per day is what we're talking about.

Something to keep in mind whenever politicians

    or economists talk about poverty.

If almost everyone could receive 1,000 pesos per day

what would happen to the mood of our country,

will it become more upbeat, more optimistic?

Sir Longherin...you have a very good point..Depende siguro sa lifestyle na one is accustomed to..Siguro I'll be doing ok kung sa probinsya lang ako at ang worry ku lang e makakain ng 3 or 4 na beses sa isang araw. I can work anywhere naman basta marangal.

  9. MA?

There are a lot of vets who have opted to retire here and managed to make it even with PO1 retainer pay (just basing the presumption on your collar device). It's just a matter of knowing what you want, setting your goals and sticking with your plans.

    Anchor's Aweigh! Cheers!

Thank you Sir Raoul for the kind and encouraging words..I guess I dread the fact of transitioning to "civilian life" and not having a job anymore..you're right I just need to adjust, and set realistic goals to have a "good retirement". BTW I hope you don't mind; Are you in the service? Are you active duty? Have a great day.

  10. lolo suzu, basta kol ka lang pag dating mo

itong darating na end of the month, 3 day weekend

boss eagleyes..baka gusto mo rin ng private security..I think I'm qualified as I have been doing isecurity work for a while..hehehehe..lam mo na ikaw na lang ang maswerte..let me rephrase ikaw ang nagtagumpay sa lahat ng hardwork mo..di naman isnisilbi sa pilak na plato ang swerte di ba?

  11. You must be doing really well sir. Consider yourself one of the few and the envy of most of us. I must have to work my tail off to afford that kind of lifestyle. More power to you sir eagleyes.

i'm trying to cut back, pero mahirap

puro kain kasi sa labas dahil hindi ako nagluluto

pag boring at walang magawa (halos araw araw) siyempre may gimik

di ba malapit ka nang lumabas?

sir eagleyes thanks for the reply..oo nga malapit na akong mag retire kaya madadagdag ako sa growing numbers of unemployed underskilled sa ngayon..I've got 6 1/2 months to go..meron bang unemployment compensation dyan?..I don't think na malayo ang mararating ng pension..I need a supplemental income pa..para makagimik din tulad mo..di ko pa nga alam ang aasahan ko sa "outside world" you're a lucky man eagleyes..kuwentuhan mo na lang kami ng mga masasayang mong mga gimik..kidding aside mabuhay ka eagleyes..represent.

  12. i spend about 150,000 pesoses per month

  13. good for you. i'm tall... so it's more difficult for me... and i do want my guys taller.

I don't know if being tall has advantages in romance or in life. I think it's the personality and looks pa rin. Di ko pa kasi nararanasan. I don't know if I'm tall enough to be considered"tall" in today's standard(I'm 5 feet 11 inches tall). I wish I am a couple more inches taller. kase all my brothers are well over 6 feet tall(6-1, 6-4)

  14. Boss Hirit pa...this is good and informative advice from people in the know like you sir. I would like to have a "small business" that would provide me with regular income.. hopefully pag nag retire na ako.the only potential snag on getting a place is the prohibitive cost of rent lalo na sa mga mall..halos sa kanila lang mapupunta kinikita..meron ka pa bang ma i sa suggest boss na business? Salamat sa mga information..more power

celpon bisness is still good.. concentrating on after sales services like downloading of programs .. refurbishing old celpons and trading of old units to brandnew and selling 2ndhand units.. startup capital can be as low as 100k if you have a place already or you can just target your friends and co employees as your clients.. very easy money of between 500 to 2k per day with time to spare
  15. Boss Magnus,

I have been reading your posts on this thread and I must say you are a guru. I would like to get my hands on stock market investing but I have limited knowledge in investing. I am overseas right now but will eventually find livelihood there in PI. Am i too late to get in the game right now? Please advise. Thank you bro and more power to you.

wait and try to buy it as close to 7.4 as you can, or even a little lower. it could go up to 8 or 8.1
  16. Local lang ito bro. Bought it from a departing seaman for P260K. Kami na lang nagbihis.

I'll try to get a pic of the trunk and the interior para kita niyo at magka-idea din yung may gusto.

    Thanks man!

Thank you bro. I appreciate it. Hopefully makabili rin ako pag nakaipon na at pag nakauwi na ako. Toyota ba ang mas matibay at the same time ay maporma? Again thanks sa reply bro. Have a great day.

  17. Actually, they all owed each other something.  Ali never would have been considered the greatest heavyweight if he had not fought Liston, Patterson, Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Chuvalo, etc....while their rep*tations were also raised because of their fights with Ali.  As for Holmes, he had only one really memorable fight.  That was his title bout with Norton.  That 15th round had to be the best I had ever seen, with the two trading punches and both barely able to stand up.  It was "Rocky" in real life.

I believe that when Foreman retired the first time, he said he was going to be a preacher.  My friends and I found that rather strange, because, as you said, he was often looked upon as a bad guy.

Boss JT you left out one of the most couragous boxers of all time. He fought everybody in the heavyweight Division, two with Ali and one with then Heavyweight Champ Smokin Joe Frazier, losing on a technical decision due to cuts. His name is JERRY QUARY(RIP).

  18. Sorry to hear about your dad sir gungeek..nakuha mo rin ang hilig ng father mo..i am not a gun collector pero parang sports activity na ang mga owner kaya gusto ko na rin..Thanks for the invitation Sir Gungeek.

sa boxing:.naganap sa Pilipinas ang one of the Greatest fights by the Greatest Boxer of all time: The" Thrilla in Manila"..napanood nyo ba? Bata pa naman ako noon.
