  1. man would barry could help dis team out???

having a reliable shooter would always help spread out the defense. more room for Yao to operate. more lanes for TMac to move into. more options to kick out on double teams. ^_^

  2. It's true that they are only playing enough to win games.

But you gotta love the situation they're in.

Okur and Kirilenko are playing better in this year's playoff so it's a good sign.

New acquisition Korver settling down on the system.

You can always count on Deron and Boozer to come up big in games.

It's just a matter of time before they hit their stride. ^_^ (Hopefully it comes in the next game, to give them some momentum going into the 2nd round)

  3. almost almost lost the last game.

i think it ends in the next game. the rockets went for the win in this game, only to be sorely defeated.

they threw their best shot, they knocked it down. but unfortunately, utah didn't stay down.

  4. he needs a trade to a contending team. just like clyde drexler who had to toil as portland's best player before winning it all with hakeem and co. in houston.

the only way for that to happen if he opts for a huge pay cut. ^_^

  5. Houston already without Yao is bad enough. Without Alston, they are pretty much beat. Add to the equation they play the next 2 games @ UTAH.

    This one's a gone case.

Maybe next year they'll have better conditioning. (They should probably pirate the guys from the SUNS. ^_^)

  6. Deron has a mild ankle sprain. Finally the Houston guards can catch up to him (a little bit).^_^

Although this time, they're playing on the JAZZ homecourt.

Btw, kudos to Ashton Korver. Great shot in the dying seconds. ^_^

  7. With a complete roster probably they have a chance to win the matchup. Although right now I'm just guessing that Yao would be a big difference.

UTAH is a completely different team at home, they are more aggressive and energized. (Although, they have been pretty aggressive in this matchup)

Oh well, atleast they're in the NBA history books for their 22 game win streak.

  8. oo nga no.. why don't they put battier on williams.. kea lang baka iwanan siya ni derron
Talagang kakain siya ng alikabok kay D-Will!

Not only that, UTAH's offense makes use of a lot of screens. So DWills speed + screens = easy layups.

Plus they would have a harder time defending the pick and roll if they put a bigger defender on DWill.

  9. tenchu... tenchu :thumbsupsmiley: at mabuhay din po kayo sir legionnaire. however ... three more wins to go before we jazz fans will go out drink ourselves into a doozy. hope the jazz won't be lulled by a sense of complacency and overconfidence . among the playoff qualifiers ... only the jazz have a combined losing record on the road against minnesota ( twice pa ! ) ... miami and memphis . )

the lakers ? still to early to say. but as an nba fan i do hope that the nuggets put up a better fight against the lakers.

Right now, I can't think of a good reason why the jazz and lakers won't meet in the 2nd round.

Both teams aren't of the same class as their current matchups (Houston, arguably is a better team in the playoffs with Yao. Denver, is hopeless unless they miraculously learn how to play defense.).

UTAH v HOUSTON -- worst case would be 6 games

LA v DENVER -- worst case would be 5 games

So again. Bring on the LAKERS! ^_^

  10. UTAH's a very efficient team. Very well disciplined.

If you don't come in with the right discipline and efficiency when you play these guys. They will run over you.

They have posted double digit leads against the NBA's elite teams, so there's no question that they can really bring it.

  11. Jazz-Rockets?

I'm all for the Jazz on this one! :thumbsupsmiley:

Utah will face the winner of the Los Angeles-Denver match-up right? I'd love to see a Lakers-Jazz match-up! :thumbsupsmiley:

Hehe. Looks like you're sure that UTAH will come out of the first round but not for LA against DEN. ^_^

  12. jazz blow by rockets 106-95. looks like sloan's boys are peaking at the right time. here's hoping for a win at san antonio ( where they last won last 225 b.c. ) to help them wrap homecourt for the first round. :thumbsupsmiley:

with the way the SPURS are playing lately (and Manu out indefinitely until the playoffs), this should be a very winnable game for the JAZZ (even if this one's on the road.) ^_^

  13. AK: Tovarisch T-mac, in Russia, this is how we "got your back". See you in the first round, da?

I wouldn't be laughing if I were the Rockets. If they don't find a way to contain Boozer and Deron, that picture's going to sum up what's going to happen to them in the first round.

I think it all boils down to containing Deron. If they limit his scoring and assists, they have a good shot at it.

  14. I think UTAH is a good team, they only need to get the same energy they have playing at home on the road.

I've watched a couple of UTAH games, and I've noticed that they play a bit conservatively on the road. They don't get out of the break often enough.

They should learn how to play aggressive even if it's not their homecourt.

I'd like to see how far this team gets in the playoffs.

And possibly a DWill, CP3 matchup would be nice. ^_^

  15. T-Mac... he lacks the "WILL to WIN" of NBA greats like Jordan, Duncan, or Shaq. Yung bang parang sa utak o isip pa lang niya parang di talaga siya papayag na matalo sila basta-basta. Yung palaban.. Yung parang T-Mac na umiskor ng 13 pts in a span of a little more than 30 secs left in the game para talunin ang Spurs. Yung ganun! Problem is he's not doing that every single damn game! It should come out of him 100 times in a season!

It's probably the Vince Carter blood in him. (The tanking part.)^_^

Sometimes it seems that he has no motivation to win.

  16. Probably the 1st round opponent they have a big chance against is GS.

All the others have a consistent inside scoring threat.

Houston's a huge DONUT right now. ^_^ A team with a wide gapping hole in the middle.

  17. Nice run for the Rockets. I would probably have liked to have the streak at 23 atleast ^_^.

Houston's lack of a post threat finally did them in this time.

Boston pretty much have decent perimeter defenders (and arguably the best pick and roll defender in the NBA right now. Hello Garnett!)

The C's were able to run after Houston's shooters and successfully defended any pick and rolls (even pick and pop plays).

They really missed YAO in this game.
