There might be some issue with security...I mean there might be a crazed collector who would want to kidnap vertu in exchange for his collection but wouldn't it be nice for us to experience seeing those cases being opened? maybe we can just be behind a fiberglass window or something while you guys open those cases hahaha. Just kidding.

Just a thought...maybe vertu would want to hold a collectors meeting or something. You know we'll bring all our cards and just try to know who collects who and who knows we can all help each other keep the hobby alive!

hmmmm....well at least he is not afraid to do something different. For fun I guess. I mean he has been known as a class act. Good person. well, maybe he has that talent in dancing as well. Dshock, was able to view the price list. Thanks a lot! Although just looking at the price list is kinda discouraging because obviously there are still so many Drexler cards that I don't have! Especially the unpriced and limited numbered ones! hehe But it is also encouraging to know that there are still cards that will keep me alive chasing.

About ups and downs of arrows, I really understand what you mean guys but its the card really that matters. Take for instance the CO-signers that I have (all four of them!) The Drexler/Hardaway cost $400 before and now its down to $250 and the I got two Drexler/Olajuwon which Cost $300 before is now down to $150 and the Drexler/HOward which was $80 before is now not listed maybe about $40. BUt hey, those cards are very rare! And I 'm glad that I got those way back

By the way, Dshock, I recently got a 98 SP authentic Buyback. THis is my second card of that series. can you please check for me that price of those buybacks? Thanks. Its I think 98 SP authentic.

There was a time when I also thought about collecting another player other than my first love (clyde Drexler of course!). In fact, when Clyde retired It crossed my mind collecting Ray Allen cards but I guess I got the hump of you know focusing on another player. I'm more inclined to collecting two guards...But anyway, I think I will be a Clyde forever fan hehehe. He's just one of a kind. very humble and talented player. A class act. Don't think I can find similar traits among the new and upcoming superstars. He was just a complete all around player in and out the court. Great guy! Hope to meet him someday you'll never know hehehe

Hi Gobio. I don't think we know each other. BUt from the looks of it you're a who's who in the hobby here in the Philippines. Glad to know that you're in this thread as well. I can never agree more with you guys that we need more people who love NBA card collecting. Talking about Exquisites....I have yet to acquire a single exquisite for my Drexler collection. That's my hope and wish. HOpefully Gobio you can spare me some if you have one of those coveted cards that I really would like to have. And hopefully you can remember me everytime you open cases that I'm a drexler collector so I would appreciate if you can let me know if you got some hehehe

It was really my dream to be able to get all the Drexler cards out there...but with the ridiculous price and odds of cards right now I'm just happy that I have at least the "first issues" (97 autographics, 98 century autographics, 98 UD jersey, 98 co-signers etc.) of sorts of my player's card. As for the other unpriced and scarce cards, well it will be a plus to have them. At least I have a gold numbered to 10 auto.

shock also I think the one you asked about at Robinson Malate that cost 2k was the beckett annual. Anyway, hope we all can get hold of those bimonthly or annual beckett (I think this is not as practical, at least in the bi monthly we can still see the ups and downs of the prices once every two months).

shock, beckett plus is basically like the monthly issue except that it is much more comprehensive. It lists basically all the inserts and cards in a particular brand and year so its really good. I mean beckett online is cool but you know, having a hardcopy is a lot more convenient and maybe practical as well. besides, It won't really cost us that much. only about 370 each (if 6 of us will contribute and subscribe).

I recently got a tuff stuff magazine but the pricing are quite different from beckett. And I also got the tuff stuff monthly so wala rin masyadong listing.

About the subscription, it will not be expensive as I mentioned if we divided the subscription fees among ourselves. If we can have 6 persons then it will only about to about 350 per issue including shipping na! I cecked again and the promo is $24.99 = $14.99 shipping so just about $40 for a one year subscription (six copies). Maybe dreamshocker, kupalking, you, me and other interested persons can chip in and viola! we have basketball plus hehehe

I have long been wanting to have a copy of beckett plus. I've meet a guy who said that sometimes back issues of beckett plus can be found in Book Sale. Been to numerous branches but didn't find any. Well, maybe some of you might chance upon some copies so go and browse through those magazines!

Heard that he got it at SM San Lazaro once or heard someone saying that he found one at SM fairview (Book Sale).
