@RetiredGM.  Wow all cash ka now?  Awesome.  .

Me I'm 40:60 cash:stocks.    Pag bumagsak ng below 22K and Dow, bili ako ulit, and every 1K drop thereafter.

1) At times like these ano cash:stock ratio strategy nyo?

2) For your remaining stock shares, do you plan to sell or ride it out?

1. 40% cash, 60% stocks
2. Ride it out. Didn't cut loss. It's just correction.... I think everybody are familiar with this saying, "death in thousand cuts". Patience and conviction.

strategy ko, get rid of the penny stocks first if u have any because they'll be the most affected, i dont hold any. buying power is the position to be in right now, just in case the market reverses get ready to buy..

The typical strategy is put your money in the strongest index stocks: JFC, AC, etc... But for me, all my positions are less than 3/share with one penny stock. I'm still bullish for speculative growth wherein expecting my positions to be all green in 3 months.

Exacto pareng rontan2014.

I think we've bottomed out already and safe to go back .  I can see 5% rise in the next  3 months which really is just a partial retracement of the gains that were lost.

always remember the 8k php rule.. commissions, taxes and fees will always have a minimum charge.

so lets say a stock is worth 1php/sh buy 8k shares at least, 10php/sh 800 shares at least, 100php/sh 80shares at least and so on.. mas madali bawiin..

but kung penny stocks, masyado volatile, i disregard this.. lol..

consolidation/sideways movement muna for psei.. how long? no one knows.. then we'll find out whether it tries to go 8100, or 7,700.

Yep. Unless great recession or depression, ang ginagawa dapat ride lang sa alon.

I don't think those issues are enough to seriously damage Jollibee. May correction saglit  pero aakyat ng aakyat yan. Lakas kasi ng upside potential lalo na sa foreign expansion.

For people who are serious with economic order quantity, yes 8K (I prefer 10k minimum though for JFC or WLCON). But I'm fine with 3k per transaction lalo na sa stock na hirap basahin (GERI, TUGS, SSI, etc...)

If you have cash, hold muna.

If all equities, sell some.

It's interesting because of what is happening in US.  == Earnings are up 2.5% from prior quarter and at same time there is this looming Trade World War 2.  :) Number 2 na kasi during Trade World War 1, talo na US, panalo China.

I'll update my data model next week and see what short term prediction will be.  Based on current data kasi, I'm getting mixed signals which is basically no signal.  But when in doubt, it makes sense to hold some cash.

no one can answer that for u..  it has a support that needs to be tested first, either it breaks down or it bounces from it. but if psei is down, usually it means most blue chips are down, but not all.. blue chips like..

top 6 when it comes to weight

sm (sm investments corporation) 13.5 weight of the index

ali (ayala land inc.) 8.17

smph (sm prime holdings) 8.15

bdo (banco de oro) 6.89

ac (ayala corp.) 6.24

bpi (bank of the philippine islands) 6.21

only 1% of the Philippine population invest in psei, relying on net foreign buying is very important, but its been net foreign selling since jan 29. some US department stores, like jc penny, sears are shutting down, toys are us as well. so it doesnt mean that these blue chips are doing bad, its more like foreign investors are afraid to buy. based on fundamental analysis, Im pretty sure most blue chips are doing fine, SM and AC yan eh.. check quarterly report, annual report..

bought some jfc (jollibee food corporation) at 276.2 last fri. so pang long term ko to..

agree. some are estimating it at 7400 due to higher inflation but i think 7600 may just be the tipping point to buy in. any estimate if bsp will give in to the 25 or 50 basis point increase that banks are pushing for?
