Pasta has somehow lost its allure due to the emergence of the Atkins and Southbeach schools of thought. But as recent as the 90's, pasta was touted as a health food rich in fiber.

Dread not, my fellow pasta lovers! Give it some time, and I'm betting the next diet trends will again include this momentarily battered dish. (Like recent findings suggest that too much protein that Atkins and Southbeach prescribe is harmful to the body afterall.)

So pasta aficionados, share your favorite pasta dishes, and/or good pasta places to visit...

Nope, I double checked all of 6 pages on this Food section, there wasn't any pasta thread. There was one on pizza alone, titiled "Da Best Pizza in Town, san nga ba?" But that was only about pizza and pasta wasn't included.

That's why I'm surprised why no one started a pasta thread yet, considering that I think chinese restaurants and pasta places are the most popular (not counting the burger / fast food joints) in terms of number of establishments.

then i'll hop right in. :D

i prefer sauteing garlic in olive oil, throwing in some shrimps, pasta and adding a little salt and some wine. you can request this from pasta sections of buffets in hotels or dads.

aligue pasta is the best! just a bit high bloodish...try the aligue pasta at cafe juanita at capitlyo area near pioneer center...you'll forget your name sa sarap (everything there is great-deserts are heavenly, budget of P500 per person for an unforgettable meal plus datelike ambiance)
