jason5678
The central and eastern mountain towns of Bontoc, Sagada, Besao, and Basuko can be reached by bus or car through the Halsema Highway. The Dangwa Tranco or Lizardo bus lines in Baguio make at least two trips daily to the capital town of Bontoc, Sagada, Bauko, and Besao. No reservations are taken so travelers are advised to be at the bus station as early as 6:00 a.m. From Manila, buses travel only up to Banawe, Ifugao. From there, jeepneys are available for the 3 to 4 hour ride to Bontoc or Sagada. Quote Link to comment

tobertsarcher
brader, the big falls is called the Bomod-ok falls, while the small one is called the Bokong falls. getting to Bomod-ok is getting thru the Kiltepan villages. market day is on every wednesday and saturday only until afternoon. the biggest cave the most of the visitors visit is called the Sumaguing cave. It is worth every minute that you drive getting there. we are planning to get back there to see if there is more secret places to visit there. Quote Link to comment

ninetyone
It's better to drive to Sagada using 4x4 vehicle. My first trip was in 1992. I've been going back ever since. If you ever go up, wake up around 5:30 a.m. and listen to the town crier who recites shakespear every morning. Quote Link to comment

epFDee
my first and only trip to sagada so far was in 98 or 99 i think.... twas a friend's bday and we after a coupla drinks, we decided to take a road trip at 10pm. with only a spare shirt, spare pants, underwear and my trusty toothbrush. wearing only jeans, shirt and mojos, 9 of us piled in on my friend's trusty mini cruiser jeep and drove on. sagada wasnt really on our mind. so off we went, took turns in driving while eating our pulutan from the party. banawe was really the target, so we had breakfast there at 7am. from banawe, since we're there, we decided to go on to sagada. we got there around 5pm i think. checked in sa st joseph (kung yun nga ba yun) went around town for awhile. me n coupla UP O.R.G. buddies peeked at a coupla caves but decided not to go any further since wala kami guide and gamit. went thru the cemetery to gawk at the hanging coffins then went back sa hotel kasi kakatakot na hehehhee dilim na dadaan pa kami cemetery. nxt day had breakfast and off we went to baguio....7 or 8 hours yata namin kinuha kasi we had a flat tire. pagdating sa baguio we met up with more friends in 2 cars na sumunod just for the heck of it. had some drinks then back to manila in time for work at 9am hehehehe one heck of a road trip i cant forget. ninetyone
And during All Soul's Day, the people of Sagada burn wood at the cemetery at nightime. It was a morbid experience but that's propably how traditions work there. You also visit Bontoc Museum at the Bontoc capital. They have the best collection of Cordillera Artifact and Exhibits. It's just a 30-45 mins jeepney ride. There's an internet shop at RCPI(i'm not sure lang nowif it's still there).
