bradbro
heard both good (few) and bad (most) things about chiro from friends and relatives, mostly temporary relief lang and some actually had worse condition after that they had to go to real physicians. natural na exercise stretch nalang sa akin, mas mabagal effect pero mas safe Quote Link to comment

Yan din sabi sa akin ng kakilala ko, temporary relief lang. Pero bumabalik pa din. Pero cguro if mga naipit ipit ang ugat, effective ang chiro. Quote Link to comment

abduljackolsalsalani
expected that the relief is only temporary with chiropractor since they do not do structural correction, unlike orthopedic and neurologic surgeons. one has to be careful in choosing a chiropractor since their manipulations can cause undetected defects to snap. one has to keep in mind that the chiropractic practice is not really medical. it is important that one go to a registered clinic as this is somewhat regulated for client safety. there is are cases that resulted in a law suit in the philippines involving chiropractors injuring clients. this is also the reason why hmos do not accredit them since they run the risk of being dragged into litigation and the other one is that the practitioners do not want to lower the price of their services and consultation, unlike physician's who accept 300 pesos consultations from hmos. i would suggest one check a chiropractor named Dr. Nam, a retired Korean orthopedic surgeon having office at Makati and Clark Pampanga. He doesn't do fearsome bone cracking manipulations but somehow gets the job done. Quote Link to comment

Afterwards he had to undergo a procedure called ACDF. Quote Link to comment
infallible
I don't know if chiropractic should be in the medical section. The World Health Organization and major medical organizations like the American Medical Association classify chiropractic as complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). This means it falls outside the realm of mainstream medicine. Quote Link to comment
