chinitoguy
front wheel = speed, stabilityrear wheel = drift, manuverability Quote Link to comment
madz_raymund
the difference of the two is that, kung old na yung car, ang rwd e umaangat ang harap pag biglang arangkada, ang fwd bumbagsak naman ang likod..it depends in racing. drifting & slalom maganda ang rwd..my friend said maganda fwd sa drag kasi yung bigat nasa harap, nagbibigay diin sa front wheels to give traction..dunno if true.. FWD is better than RWD in drag?? well all I can say about acceleration, mas maganda talaga acceleration ng RWD than FWD since when accelerating the weight is at the back that's why umaangat ang harap ng RWD dahil maganda arangkada while FWD is not able to do that dahil mawawalan ng traction ung front tires when accelerating too much. kaya ang RWD can take off in higher rpm than FWD dahil masmaganda kapit ng RWD. If you notice, during accelerating lahat ng cars bumabagsak ung likod, it's because ung weight ay nasa likod. Ask every mechanic or search the net if you want. That's why all sports cars are RWD or AWD.. basta may power lage sa rear.. look at F1, F3, even go karts.. they're all RWD..when not running, yes the front tires have all the engine's weight, but when accelerating, the weight is transfered to the rear. It's the basic law of physics.. it's only psychological lang ung FWD is better. at ung pinapataas pa ung likod, watch mo ung mga pro drag racers and engineers, hindi nila pinapaangat likod, instead pinapababa ito for low center of gravity and rear support para hindi bumaba un likod that will make the front tires loose traction.. perhaps in weight better FWD, since FWD is lighter than RWD, but if una ka naman sa take off and have the same power, then you have the advantage since hindi nman ganon kalaki ung difference ng weight at hindi lang namn top speed ang habol mo when racing. If you want more stability, go front wheel. If you want more power, go rear. RWD doesn't necessary means more power.. but if you mean more power is better in RWD, I totally agree! ricoyan
With all the POTHOLES sa roads natin, hindi pwede ang FWD. Naglabasan ang mga LAGATOK. Quote Link to comment

madz_raymund
They all feel the same when driven thru Metro Manila traffic. right on! No fun when stuck in traffic.. u can only tell the difference when you push it hard enough on or off the track.. Quote Link to comment
r0k7
pag long driving kc, mas enjoi pag front kc mas maganda ang handling in contrast sa rear wheel na malaki ang turning radius Quote Link to comment
madz_raymund
pag long driving kc, mas enjoi pag front kc mas maganda ang handling in contrast sa rear wheel na malaki ang turning radius when it comes sa turning radius, depende na un sa steering ratio designed for the car, usually ang FWD ay mas bitin sa ikotan since may connection sa front wheels from the transmission kaya mas may complications unlike RWD.. and as for the high speed, ok naman RWD the only problem ay kung matigas LSD mo at mabigat sa gas paa mo, mapapansin mo agad lalo na sa bumps.. kung sa FWD naman medyo torque steer on bumpy roads especially sa high speed curves.. that's based on my experience.. not sure sa mga AWD sedans since sa states lang ako nakadrive ng awd sedan kaya all i can say is maganda lang tlg daan don.. dito you can notice the diff sa designs ng car right away on certain highways.. TodoBigay
not a fan of fwd myself thats why for me it is either rwd or awd. Quote Link to comment
tspec
I still prefer RWD, but since most cars now are Front Wheel Drive...no choice...Front Wheel Drive. Quote Link to comment
samsontech
rear wheel, lakas umalis. good din for slalom, drift, and the like. Quote Link to comment
ilb4u2nyt
I prefer FWD.. kc most of the time I drive FWD Quote Link to comment
castertroy101
RWD for Drifting and Hot summer days. FWD/AWD when it snows..well then again it never snows in the Philippines. Quote Link to comment
Zarbor
I may be wrong but I find front driven cars as more economical and rear driven cars as more powerful Quote Link to comment
r0k7
well kadalasan, para sa mga manufacturer, mas mura i-produce yung mga FWD kesa RWD Quote Link to comment
Manila_Boy
I prefer RWD but the best traction is AWD though it consumes more fuel. Quote Link to comment
madz_raymund
I may be wrong but I find front driven cars as more economical and rear driven cars as more powerful it's because FWD cars are lighter than RWD ones.. weight is not much of a problem, carbon parts, panels, etc.. RWD feels more powerful kasi mas may grip specially during acceleration.. and also madalas engines ng RWD ay mas malakas talaga nilalagay than FWD.. Quote Link to comment
wynona_20fqc
hhhm...kahit wala pa me car cguro yung rear wheel yung pipiliin ko..hehehe Quote Link to comment
esset0915
RWD ang maganda.... kapit na kapit rear tires....unlike FRD, para kang umakyat na kamay lang ang gamit. Quote Link to comment
