pajac24
Probable starters in for the coming season and I must say this is their strongest five C Marc Gasol- younger brother of pau gasol, originally drafted by la lakers but traded him along with kwame brown middle of the season for pau gasol PF Darko milicic, originally drafted by detroit pistons, no. 2 draftee ahead of carmelo anthony, cris bosh and dwayne wade, has a championship ring on his rookie season (daig pa si lebron james hehehe) SF Rudy Gay- sophomore player, leading scorer and rebounder since the departure of pau gasol. explosive player, and a probable 20, 10 guy SG OJ Mayo- Originally drafted by minnesota no. 3, this recently concluded 2008 draft, but was traded along with forward Antoine Walker, guard Marko Jaric and forward greg buckner to memphis grizzlies for mike miller, forward brian cardinal, center Jason Collins and fellow draftee Kevin love PG Kyle Lowry- a solid point guard who has the ability to read the situation and adjust in any brand of play Notable players off the bench F Antoine Walker-has a championship ring with the 2006 Miami Heat, former boston partner of paul pierce in bostonG Marko Jaric-originally drafted by the clippers, and was acquired via trade from minnesota, and can be a solid point guard off the benchC/F Hakim Warrick-can play a back up solid back up for gasol and Milicic Sleepers G Jarvis Crittenton- has a good jumpshot, and can play solid defenseC Hamed Haddadi- an Iranian National player, who played in the recent Beijing Olympics and was the leading scorer in the olympics, and was part of the Iranian team who beat the Philippines in the FIBA asia qualifiers 1st round coached by chot reyes Source: nba.com, philstar.com Quote Link to comment

jopoc
i am wondering why they traded mike miller. sya sana ang pwedeng veteran leader ng team. Quote Link to comment
cyrus08
i doubt if they can reach the playoffs Quote Link to comment
HansSolo
OJ Mayo is gonna be an awesome player.... Quote Link to comment
pajac24
i am wondering why they traded mike miller. sya sana ang pwedeng veteran leader ng team. mike miller was traded as he was the last man left in their previous line up, wherein the management decided to pick and form a new line up, he was supposed to be included in the pau gasol trade for lamar odom and kwame brown, as the lakers wanted a spot up shooter whenever bryant is in trouble in the shaded lanes, in other words a perfect complement for bryant but somehow talks broke down Quote Link to comment
jedimaster
To win the championship, this team has to fully exploit their big men : Haddadi (blocks and rebounds), Arthur (solid post player), Walker (veteran champ who can both drive and post and shoot, whew!), Gasol (lotsa potential, once he's found his comfort zone, deadly); Warrick (athletic and is good back-up). These biggies should have no problem bec the team has good snipers. Mayo, Crittenton, and Jaric can pick up the outside shooting (not necessarily 3pt-zone) that Mike Miller lefts off. Mayo can not only shoot but penetrate, get fouled (has good upper strength and body control). Jaric can also penetrate and has good kick off. Rudy Gay is there to mix it up, and had shown capability. Lowry and Conley are there to manage on-court (2 unselfish guards). They STILL need a veteran ball handler. I hope they get one as the games get played - someone like Sam Cassell. Also, I hope they move to the Eastern Conference Hahahahaha!!! Go Grrzzz! Quote Link to comment

sonicyouth
i believe this franchise will eventually be sold. maybe seattle. that was why the contracts of pau gasol and mike miller were dumped. antoine walker is still a good trade bait for a team who would like to avail of his playoff experience. chancepassenger30
actually, to win an NBA championship, they will need at least 10 years, luck in the ping pong balls, fire Chris Wallace their GM and find someone who can at least make trades beneficial to their own team, find a new owner willing to spend on free agents, and lots and lots of prayers from their fans. Also, it would help if KG, Duncan, Amare, Lebron, Kobe, Nash, Roy, Oden, CP3, West, Dirk, Parker, Pierce, Billups, Sheed all blow out their knees during training camp.
