S-Syndrome
I'm still with my reliable Dio 2 modified 75cc.R6 nasa 360,000 to 380,000 if you are really interested a friend of mine might be selling.Or maybe I can talk you into getting a Honda Super 4, I have one on sale for 180,000 super kinis eto saka registrado.Pag malapit lang ang lakad, may regular helmet ako na mura lang, pag malayo ang pupuntahan, meron kami Rossi na AGV.Boots, gloves, back pro, elbow and knee guard, etc.MotorSports has a nasty habit of kicking out the aged. I think Max Biaggi's era is gone, maybe Rossi will be the one to beat. Ukawa is good too. without Biaggi, maybe Carlos Cheka might be able to show something. mahusay din yan eh.Teka how did you get 65cc sa Dio 2 mo? over cc yan sa 50 tapos sdobrang under cc naman sa 70 ah.oh I won't be selling my Dio 2 though, 6666 ang plaka nyan eh I just love it.Speaking of motorsport, are you in the 1st Marikina drag race yesterday? Yup ordinarily Super 4 cost only 120 to 150. Pero you have to see this one, parang brand new talaga. Anyway, Di ko rin sure if the owner are really willing to part with it talaga. Di ko sure kung saan mapunta si Biaggi eh, kasi karamihan dito sa tropa Rossi fans hahaha. wala kaming entry sa Mandaluyong, Endurance yun laban eh, di kami sanay sa setup ng endurance. malapit na Carmona Maybe we'll meet there. Debonaire
Just a question... I'm really interested in getting myself a bike... I have a feeling it will be more economical than getting myself a car... Here goes... For transpo purposes... would you use a bike over a car? I live like 15 minutes away from work so it shouldn't be much of a problem... is maintenance expensive? How powerful a bike can a novice start with? Your comments would be fully appreciated... It beat traffic, it cost significantly less to maintain, and are a lot more economical when it comes to fuel consumption. If you have previous experience in motorcycle, which means you are as comfortable operating a motorbike as you would be operating a car, then I suggest you go for the 250 to 400cc motorbike. If you don't have experience operating such vehicle, it is best you start with a scooter, Honda Dio and Yamaha Jog are both good machine to start with.Hope this help Edited March 5, 2003 by S-Syndrome Quote Link to comment
Debonaire
Thanks S-Syndrome ... well I've had experience with scooters already plus bikes with gears (although no clutch yet)... and I believe that I'm pretty comfortable with the idea of moving up to a bigger bike.  How much would a 2nd hand 250 to 450cc average to? And what is the current situation with regard to bikes using the SLEX? Thanks for taking your time out to help me folks! Quote Link to comment

Your comments would be fully appreciated... riding a bike is a plus of course... but then u still have to reconsider the rainy seasons... if i were you i'd suggest u get 4t or 4strokes scooter.... like a car u can have the oil changed once in every 3mos. or 5k kilometers....even less.....i wouldn't suggest 2strokes esp. modified ones believe me it's not ideal for everyday use....there are lots of respectable 4strokes model there.... if ur the type who doesn't like the hassles of having an oil change etc.... 2storke is for u... again modified ones are not suggested... u can buy the classy vespa 150.... around more or less 50-60k.... i wouldn't suggest dio's or any 2nd hand surplus scooters... trust me on this one... buy a new one if u can... for your second question... depends.... 50cc i'd suggest... go easy on the throttle.... learn the techiniques... after u get the hang of it....u can try the bigger ones... always wear a helmet.... also..... don't buythe cheap ones... y save? it's for your own protection... agv is not bad... not too expensive... hjc too.... to name a few... also make sure when ur wearing a helmet.... when u nod it doesn't move... ehehehehhe that's how a helmet should be worn ride safely............ jerzz
Used to own a Honda CBR and Yamaha FZRÂ My cycling days are long gone. Masyadong delikado sa aksidente. Imagine in 7 secs nasa 200km/hr na speed mo. Quote Link to comment
joel
bakit parang wala atang pumansin dito sa topic na ito. I agree that riding a motorcycle is dangerous, imagine riding something whose natural state is on it's side, but it's a lot of fun. Specially now with the traffic situation in the metro, mas pipiliin do pa rin ung bike.pero sabi nga nila "different folks, different strokes". Quote Link to comment
