wildnutzz
I'm not mad Consider it as acontructive criticism. If I had it my way, I would take Pro-complex pre/post workout since it does contain whey proteins that enters the system very quickly. Creatine, I'va always adviced people to take it after working out and not before. The reason is that that's the best time to replenish creatine stores when you've actually used up/depleted creatine in the muscles. And since creatine doesn't really absorb that well, don't expect to feel an immediate "kick" when taking creatine before working out. Cassein digests really slow that's why it's ideal for bedtime where you can be sure of a sustained supply of amino acids in your body while you sleep. With my earlier post, I'm just pointing out that you seem to be relying on protein supplements so much that you tend to stray away from the basics. Supplements will never be superior to real food because: 1.) Foods re more calorie dense, 2.) Food supplies us other minerals and vitamins to support our body 3.) Food keeps us satisfied for a longer period of time (this echoes food being calorie dense) since it takes longer to digest. Thus, also offers a sustained release of macro nutrients throughout the day. so how do you suggest i take my pro-complex, casein and crea? oh... i use dymatize's xpand caplets do i stick with just taking casein on non-working days? Sl@MDuNk_Mitsui14
Dude, suicide yan! NO Xplode contains more than enough caffein to jack you up. And hydroxycut hardcore after your workout? Caffein and stimulant overload yan. You may have some blood pressure issues if you do that. If you really have to stack them, I suggest you take the first serving of HH upon waking up (before breakfast), next serving of HH 5-6 hours after (early afternoon). If you work out some time in the evening, I think you can get away with a serving of NO Explode if the last serving of HH was done at least 3-4 hours ago. I will never, take a thermogenic supplement right after working out. I believe that this approach would hinder the recovery process since taking stimulants after working out would prolong the elevated heart rate and restlessness. And by the way, I don't think NO Xplode is an effective muscle builder. Yes, to some the energy kick it gives and the pump it produces may be euphoric to the lifter. However, this doesn't equate to actual muscle growth. I've always find NO supplements as a "motivating" supplement would never consider it as a foundation for nutritional support. Yeah, thanks Jacques, I changed my mind anyway, decided to take NO XPLODE instead..but I just have to disagree with you about your opinion on NO XPLODE. for me this is THE best supplement out there for muscle-building. tho sobrang ingat ako now with the dosage I take since this is the first time I'm trying the product. 1 1/2 scoops lang muna ako for now, pag na tolerate ng body ko thats the time i'll increase the dosage. Hmmm that's why I suggest you buy a water heater or rice cooker so you can prepare your own food. Just my opinion.. NOX is not the best muscle builder, but it is one of the best energy boosters out there. Besides, since its your first tie using it, the effects could still be placebo Quote Link to comment

There is no hard evidence that NO supplements are actually beneficial to actual muscle growth. In theory, dilation (increase of size) of the blood vessels may promote more nutrient uptake within the body's muscles. True enough some NO users would experience the "perpetual pump" during their workouts. However, this will never be a good guage whether you are actually gaining muscle. The concept behind NO supplements is very similar, if not derived from the concept behind Viagra. If you know how Viagra works then I'm sure that you're also aware that The Viagra induced "growth" and "stiffness" is only temporary and doesn't have a permanent/growth promoting effect that will leave you with a "bigger" member eventually. I hope you get what I mean. Moreover, you build muscle outside of the gym while recovering and not during working out when you're actually inducing stress to your muscular and cardio-vascular system. Thus, I'm not really convinced that the "added" pump actually has a benefit in actual muscle gain. NO Xplode is actually a mix of arginine (for NO), some forms of creatine and stimulants (caffein and etc.). Caffein will surely make you more energetic. As for creatine, I think you know what this stuff already can do. All in all, NO Explode was and has been marketed as a "pre-workout" tool. Something virtually not existent before. I personally have tried this product and found it great in increasing my training intensity. The pumps where great. But at the end of the day, I'd still prioritize post workout nutrition. But hey, if this stuff works great for you then great! :thumbsupsmiley: Edited April 2, 2009 by Jacques Quote Link to comment

This product is by far the best one in the market. Another good product I have tried is ultimate nutrition's horsepower. it literally turned me into a beast. All the assistant coaches at the gym were shocked at how strong I got using this product. Stacked with pro-complex gainer and following a template similar to what Joe Defanco used, i gained 9 lbs of muscle in 7 weeks Can't argue with you guys, since I admit I havent really researched on NOX, I tried the product upon the recommendation of my gym buds and some quick reads and review (although matagal ko na talaga gusto i-try gumamit ng NOX since 2007 pa).. but so far, my initial impression is that it works for me, as far as increasing the weights im lifting and muscle growth, it may be just a placebo effect on my muscle growth as what Oly have mentioned but sice I just started to try the product, I can't really tell for sure now, We'll see tho in a few weeks. thumbsupsmiley.gif I actually got to try NOx thanks to the sponsor of the athletes I train and I have tried other NO products. ot3pch4n
Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein. Double Chocolate of course. :thumbsupsmiley: I would like to try this as it was also recommended by a friend. Earlier I checked one GNC here in KSA & it was out of stock. This will be my first time to try whey protein since I started working out July last year. Quote Link to comment

lotur
im working out for about a month and have been taking hydroxycut hc, so far so good just a question to the vets/experts:my main goal is weight loss and body toning, will it be alright to take whey protein along with HHC while doing my routine cardio/weight training? and what whey protein brand can you recommend that impacts primarily weight loss and muscle building? im looking at some brands from philsupplements but its quite confusing for a beginner. thanks in advance! johnnies
Proper diet would always be the key, supplements are just used in order to help. I suggest using FitDay. Quote Link to comment

How about your eating habits?? before even considering supplements, get your diet and training program in check first thanks for the response prefor my training program i go 3-4 (the latter at most) per week, working on upper/lower splits alternatelyive been on a low carb/fat diet since sept last year, just decided to finally hit the gym since my body is beginning to sag from the lost weight, i made the mistake of doing exclusively cardio and underestimated the benefits of muscle work until recently for the past month i was really surprised with how progressive weight training combined with my usual cardio impacted the inches really quick, body's firming up and i was wondering if i can add whey along with the usual HHC burner without compromising my weight loss/toning program Edited April 13, 2009 by lotur Quote Link to comment

wildnutzz
Coach Oly, Can I let go of the Casein and just drink Pro-Complex before sleeping?Bale instead of drinking Pro-Complex before and after workout, I'd be drinking Whey. tapos Pro-Complex before bed. I heard kasi na medyo mabagal din mag-digest yung Pro-Complex (?) Quote Link to comment
