The Designer
haay... new OS = unstable isip isip lang mga kapatid... I agree with you that new OS = unstable, but it's just like the other OS & programs but later on fixes will come out just like service packs for windows... We have two options mga bros, 1st is to try the new stuff as they are released at the same time experience & wait for the bugs & fixes to come out or to wait for a while until the bugs are fixed. Quote Link to comment
diver_703
Re: electric billFirst things first - there is no such thing as a free lunch. In other words, hindi libre yung ginagamit mong kuryente. Hindi rin magkakabit ng kuryente ang MERALCO papunta sa subdivision ng walang metro (the fact that they connected a "submeter" implies that there is a main meter which measures how much electricity is consumed by the subdivision)). You have an obligation to pay for the electricity you are consuming. Just make sure that the bill states the correct amount of electricity you have consumed and that your payment will really go to MERALCO to be credited to your electric consumption. Re: Water billAgain, you have an obligation to pay for the water you consumed. Even if the bill is in a different name, if the meter number is correct, i.e. the bill really is for your house, you still have to pay. If you want the bill to be in your name, the best thing to do is to call up the water utility company and ask for the procedure in having the account pertaining to your house placed in your name, so you can then have subsequent bills in your name. tnx for the input... i know the "free lunch thing"... i'm more concerned about whose right is it to collect the elec bill... if the owner of the subd really dont want to pay the bill for the whole subd, then put up an elec post and kuntador... i have no problem paying as long as i know it is correct... the subd owner has a reputation also of "padding" the bill... dinadagdagan kumabaga... all houses in the subd are not paying a cent for their elec bill because of the same reason... the water thing... why do i have to to the water company to fix things... isn't it the subd job to make sure everything is in order???... again, tnx in advance for the help... Screwtape
Yes you simply can, OS are just the same as other programs you use, you can simply uninstall & reinstall whatever you want, just make sure to have all your device drivers for both OS. Actually... I wouldn't jump the gun on this. Vista will for sure allow you to install itself on top of XP, but MS has never really given a roll back of the OS that has really been reliable. What you would have to do is first remove Vista, and then install XP again. That's 3 hours at least right there.... And NO... Operating Systems are not like any other programs. There are System Programs which inculde OS, and then there are Application Programs which inculde your word, excel, etc... Quote Link to comment
Screwtape
Hinde ma-delete / erase yung "My Backup" folder after running system recovery. I checked the user guide pero doesn't say much about "my backup". It's not a serious one but I need to free up some memory space. Frustrating lang kasi hinde ma-delete palagi "access denied". Any suggestion? Does the folder still contain any files? How big?Btw... memory is RAM and Hard Disk space is storage. Freeing up disk storage doesnt give you better memory... unless you're talking about Virtual Memory for swap files. But then doesnt really help... Quote Link to comment

Thanks talaga sa reply chief!!! pwede kayo mag-file ng complaint sa PRC if you want, wala kasing clear cut rules what is morally wrong and what is not. nasa PRC na ang paghusga nyan. on the practical side, siguro it would be best na hayaan nyo na sila. if willing sila, hilingin nyo na lang na lumipat sila ng lugar. sa tingin ko lang, kahit anong kaso gagawin nyo, hindi nyo mabubuwag yan. baka pa nga mas lumakas pa ang samahan nila dahil sa feeling nila its "you and me against the world". have a nice day sir, you are welcome. rocco69
since you, together with the other homeowners, are in conflict with the subdivision owner, the best thing to do would be to schedule a mtg with the owner so that matters can be threshed out. Note that a reputation for "padding" the bill is not evidence that they really are "pading" your bill. Likewise, a meeting would clear the air as to how individual houses' consumption are being measured, as well as finalize the issuance of individual meters to homeowners. As for the water bill, since it seems that you are dealing directly with the water utility (i.e. deretso ang bayad mo sa water utility at walang participation ang subdivision sa pagkokolekta), it would now be between you and the water utility to have the account name changed. tnx for the input... i know the "free lunch thing"... i'm more concerned about whose right is it to collect the elec bill... if the owner of the subd really dont want to pay the bill for the whole subd, then put up an elec post and kuntador... i have no problem paying as long as i know it is correct... the subd owner has a reputation also of "padding" the bill... dinadagdagan kumabaga... all houses in the subd are not paying a cent for their elec bill because of the same reason... the water thing... why do i have to to the water company to fix things... isn't it the subd job to make sure everything is in order???... again, tnx in advance for the help... Guest lene
Hi, hope you can help me on my problem : 1. My dad and his brother owned a piece of land when they were both single. Since my uncle moved to Batangas, my dad built our family home on his side of the property ( there is only one title under both their names). 2. My uncle died three years ago and the heirs are not in speaking terms. My cousins are divided into two sides - five of my cousins have decided to band together against their eldest sister and my aunt. My aunt has been estranged ( although not legally) from my uncle for several years before his death. We doubt if estate tax has been paid on their properties. My problem is this : My dad now wants to have the title divided into two so that my uncle's heirs can take their portion while my dad would have his portion, especially since our family home is on his side. There is no building or any improvements on my uncle's side. My dad had already prepared a legal document to divide the property ( I'm sorry but I;m not sure of the exact name; I think its a deed of partition) which my five cousins signed. However, my aunt and my other cousin has yet to sign the document. My question is this : 1. If my aunt and my cousin refuse to sign the deed of partition, what other legal alternatives can we do so that we can finally have the property subdivided? 2. What is the impact of this property on the estate tax of my uncle? I presume it has not been paid or even processed so I dont even want to think of the penalties since it is over 6 months from the death of my uncle and therefore, estate tax should have been filed and paid already. rocco69
Under PD 957, after a developer has been issued a license to sell (the subdivision), he has one year within which to construct and provide the facilities, improvements, infrastructures and other forms of development, including WATER SUPPLY and lighting facilities, which are offered and indicated in the approved subdivision or condominium plans, brochures, prospectus, printed matters, letters or in any form of advertisement. If the developer fails to do so, the buyer can validly refuse to pay further instalments, or he can instead ask for the return of his payments (with interest). It is also a criminal offense not to finish the facilities within one year, so you can also file a criminal complaint. The best thing to do is to go to the HLURB for assistance re: your water supply problem. tulong lang mga atty., me nabili akong house and lot sa isang bagong developed na subdivsion. sabi nung developer, magkakaroon daw ng supply g tubig in 1 month.
