ATONG ANG
don henrico's has a buffet offering as well. i havent tried it by my friends did.i wonder if its good. its not expensive also, daw pala.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>just browse the previous posts in this thread. i posted related stuff on their buffet offering. speaking of don henrico's, i met a franchisee of don henrico's earlier at makati shang. today's offerings were not as spectacular as the 1st time i tried it. gone were the scallops and the lamb chops. the salmon was not as smooth as before. the sea bass was still very soft but it would have been better if they had grilled it instead of pan-frying it for a crisp surface and a less greasy feel. the prime ribs today were very well done and had lost to much moisture. chinese dishes still had no improvement. they used butter for their pasta instead of olive oil and that's a big no-no for me. quite a letdown for me as i had expected much from circles from the 1st encounter. i had an exciting little discovery this time, though. they have this ube mousse which is not very sweet and has a slight distinct natural ube flavor. this had to be the dessert for the year, hands down. never ceasing to amaze me, shang's new little wonders included a soft, slippery, firm mango crepe with whole slices of mangoes inside. not to be outdone was its passionfruit sherbet. for around 900 bucks a pop, i'm adding a little bit more to transfer to grand hyatt Quote Link to comment
