Hard Disk - 2,900RAM - 2,500 (per 1GB Stick), it is that expensive because most old model laptops are DDR only (DDR 333 PC 2700)Battery Replacement - 1,900 TOTAL = 7,300 Edited March 6, 2009 by brutus Quote Link to comment

mick8
am planning of getting a laptop. my choices are either the 01. Hp Pavilion dv7-1090- Nvidia 9600M GT- Core2Duo t9400@2.5Ghz- 4Gb ram DDR2 02. Hp HDX X18-1175- Nvidia 9600M GT- Core2Quad Q9000@2.0Ghz- 4 GB / 8 GB (max) DDR2 SDRAM i've read in other forums that it also depends on the RAM and mobo to fully utilize the power of the core2quad while some says a core2quad is superior to a core2duo processor since it utilizes 4 processors. my question is, does a core2quad outperforms a core2quo like in this specs that i've posted for 3d applications like 3ds max or maya ? does the core2quad have the advantage?
