I respect his avoidant tendencies, but I can't help but notice how Pinoys seem to have a better handle on their emotions, or maybe they're just less reckless with confessions like this. A Pinoy might say something similar several months into dating. I've been here just a month, and I've already heard the "falling for you" line from a Dutch guy and a Scot.
