Johnny Hammer
Hi guys! Coffee lovers out there, share your thoughts! 🙌 Ako kasi, nag-start na mag-invest in a coffee maker para makatipid sa Starbucks runs. Pero syempre, hindi lahat afford ang high-end brands like Nespresso, kaya curious ako: worth it ba sila compared to generic or budget-friendly coffee makers? Here’s what I tried: • Nespresso Essenza Mini: Ang ganda ng build and compact size. Ang smooth din ng process—press a button, and boom, may coffee ka na! Pero medyo mahal talaga ang capsules, lalo na kung araw-araw ka nagkakape. • Generic Capsule Machine from Lazada: Sobrang mas mura! Compatible naman with third-party capsules, pero napansin ko na medyo nag-iiba yung lasa minsan, lalo na with the crema. Quick Comparison: • Price: Nespresso (PHP 8,000–PHP 10,000) vs. Generic (PHP 2,000–PHP 4,000) • Capsule Availability: Parehong may compatible capsules, pero Nespresso capsules are premium and consistent. ☕ Quote Link to comment
shadowraiden
Currently I'm using a Beko bean to cup with frother. So far it's 5 months in and it works like a charm. It's one of the cheapest bean to cup machine out there. But i does deliver. Quote Link to comment
zatarra
Better go with branded coffee makers kung kaya naman ng budget. Quote Link to comment
boy doha
for me, bili lang kme ng coffee beans in bulk tapos manual grinder pag mag brew na every morning. may nabibili online na manual grinder with stainless steel burr. i have two of those with different size output settings dependent on the coffee beans and sa pag brew ko. try experimenting which ones apply to your taste Quote Link to comment

Blender + medium roast coffee beans + French press from the mall. blend the beans in to a powder (yes, I know burr grinders are the coffee nerd's obsession, but it's really not a big deal), put in french press with hot water, stir, wait for 30-45 seconds, press down plunger, pour. take used coffee grounds and put them in soil as fertilizer/biomass. From the perspective of a coffee nerd, they're both processed, but pods are more wasteful and take up too much counter space. Quote Link to comment
Farrel
I got 2 coffee pod machines in the past 2-3 years, both as gifts (pinamigay ko na isa kasi mahirap ibenta, mura lang kasi) B Coffee, was around 4k+ Nespresso, was 25k+ basta nespresso size capsules pwede, shopee/lazada lang ako lagi, marami masasarap na flavor, pwedeng pwede pa timplahan..add milk, syrups, creams, whatever suits you. upside of having the machine: madali mag timpla, mabilis lang din uminit tubig easy to clean/maintain downside: maraming mas cheaper versions of coffee iba pa rin lasa ng coffee from beans may pinag kaiba ba yung B Coffee and Nespresso? WALA don't bother wasting money sa mas mahal na brand, it functions exactly the same. I still have the nespresso machine but haven't used it in about a year. Quote Link to comment
