I'll visit the showroom tomorrow. Saw only one in the streets so far.

Currently shopping for my wife's car. she wants the new Fortuner . Suwerte pag punta namin sa SM southmall may naka display kahapon then may katabi na everest. pareho silang maganda pero ang masasabi ko, ang Sama ng loob ng Fortuner kumpara sa Everest and Montero etc. sobrang simple para sa presyo. I think dahil alam ng Toyota na sikat na sila kaya hindi na nila ginagandahan ang interior. The important thing is basta matibay ang Car.

 

I agree that for sure matibay itong new fortuner but Toyota, make the interior more interresting naman or at least show that you are trying. look at the Everest interior at least.

 

I still chose the fortuner for my wife for various reasons such as Resale etc. etc. yung mga practical reason pero pag emotional reason , ganda talaga ng everest problema lang pag ibebenta mo babaratin ka

guys ang bago bang fortuner is CVT ang transmission or Gears ang gamit?

 

I am not a fan of CVT transmission. nagpapabili si wife so no choice I just want to know kung ano transmission niya. If gears kakabitan ko ng trailer hatch. pag cvt hindi ko na kakabitan

The chrome trims where the glass meets the metal body is just oozing with sex appeal. I like it a lot! And the way the windows tapers to the back is just a refreshing sight to see. I just do not like how the new Isuzu MUX and Chevy Trailblazer rear windows are cut.

See how the windows seem to look like separate blobs of glass? The shapes are not streamlined.

But with the Fortuner windows the design just flows. The window design of the previous Fortuners always did outshine the design of the Monteros.

If fortuner vs montero, mas maganda for me ang harapan ng montero pero my golly ang pangit ng likod. parang babaeng malaki ang boobs pero flat ang pwet.

Update lang, the new fortuner and new Innova has 6speed gear box type and not a cvt unit. this is good as it is more sturdy in my opinion

puede naman daw maayos sa dealer, about sa transmission leak from what I heard.

Waiting pa din ata haba daw pila sa mga dealership... TMB, Toyota Otis, Toyota Abad Santos and Toyota Balintawak.. Not sure sa iba..

No sir readily available ang fortuner, huwag lang mapili sa kulay. ang waiting na colori is Black tsaka yung dark grey.

I have a phantom brown 4x4 in order. Because my wife believes that toyota is the best brand there is. I went along with her decision blindly para wala ng mahabang usapan.

 

Coming from a 2012 toyota fortuner 4x2 2.5l diesel. the interior looks the same. the lay out, position of cup holders. everything is the same except for the interior color.

 

Is the car really all new? or pinalitan lang ang kaha ng bagong body?

 

the only improvement I can see is that the 2,8l diesel has 450NM of torque which is a lot. also 6speed na ang transmission so baka maganda ang fuel economy niya.

 

I do not know if you guys feel like this pero aside from the new look, the car feels totaly the same as my 2012. Will post pics once dumating na ang car.

 

I feel like toyota engineers/bosses said " Hey sikat na ang auto natin, lets not try too hard para sa all new model kasi siguardong bebenta naman"

 

let me guys give you the Honda civic as an example. every time na may lalabas silang "All new " model, talagang naiiba ang interior, iba ang hugis ng dash board, iba ang location ng instrument panel, may mga new tech like digital speedometer and other things.

 

My hands are tied with the purchase decision pero sana naman people in Toyota would make their car more fun
