Resident Evil: Extinction

 

Resident Evil: Extinction is again based on the wildly popular videogame series and picks up where the last film left off. Alice (Milla Jovovich), now in hiding in the Nevada desert, once again joins forces with Carlos Oliveira (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps), along with new survivors Claire (Ali Larter), K-Mart (Spencer Locke) and Nurse Betty (Ashanti) to try to eliminate the deadly virus that threatens to make every human being undead... and to seek justice. Since being captured by the Umbrella Corporation, Alice has been subjected to biogenic experimentation and becomes genetically altered, with super-human strengths, senses and dexterity. These skills, and more, will be needed if anyone is to remain alive.

Spider-man 3 update: Uncle Ben VS Sandman

 

Sam Raimi and crew were at the main branch of the New York Public Library, a location you may remember from the first film, when Uncle Ben drops Peter off to “do homework” and he actually goes wrestling. The scene shows us that it wasn't the carjacker from the first film who killed Uncle Ben, but rather Flint Marko, aka Sandman. The carjacker was just an accomplice.

Night at the Museum:

 

Good-hearted dreamer Larry Daley (Ben Stiller), despite being perpetually down on his luck, thinks he’s destined for something big. But even he could never have imagined how “big,” when he accepts what appears to be a menial job as a graveyard-shift night watchman at a museum of natural history. But during Larry’s watch, something extraordinary happens: the museum’s exhibits magically come to life. A fearsome T-Rex insists on a game of fetch (with one of his own skeleton bones); Mayans, Roman Gladiators, and cowboys emerge from their diorama to wage epic battles; and a wax figure of Teddy Roosevelt gives Larry important advice while harboring a crush for an Indian princess. As things spiral wildly out of control, Larry must find a way to control the magic to stop a nefarious plot and save the museum.

The Eye:

Tom Cruise and his production partner Paula Wagner have set the horror flick remake of the Thai horror film, THE EYE up at Lions Gate and have set Jessica Alba to star. David Moreau and Xavier Palud, the team behind the French thriller ILS, will direct the film. THE EYE follows a woman who gets a cornea transplant, is haunted by visions of ghosts and becomes determined to find out what happened to her eye's previous owner. Alba would begin shooting THE EYE shortly after she wraps production on THE FANTASTIC FOUR AND SILVER SURFER.

 

 

 

 

Shrek the Third:

DreamWorks Animation has cast a small medieval kingdom's worth of fairy tale characters to appear in Shrek the Third, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The next installment of the smelly ogre's saga, set for release next year, will star an elite, ninja-like strike force of fairy tale princesses voiced by Amy Sedaris as Cinderella, Amy Poehler as Snow White, Maya Rudolph as Rapunzel and Cheri Oteri as Sleeping Beauty.

 

Organized by Princess Fiona, the ladies underground resistance movement fends off a coup d'etat by Prince Charming (Rupert Everett) in the land of Far, Far Away. Also joining the hit animated comedy's cast are Ian McShane as Captain Hook, John Krasinski as Sir Lancelot and Monty Python veteran Eric Idle as Merlin the magician.
