X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Ryan Reynolds will be playing Deadpool in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE. It's probably one scene but something Marvel hopes can lead to a spin-off that Reynolds would star in. Rumors continue to fly that Gambit has been cast but first we need confirmation that Gambit is even in the script.

Street Fighter:

Kristin Kreuk will be playing the slightly more thick-legged kicker-queen Chun Li in the new live-action STREET FIGHTER movie. Now she's got some company: man-mountain Michael Clarke Duncan is playing boxer Balrog, "dude" actor Chris Klein will be someone named Nash, and Rick Yune (THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS) is "the mystical Gen." Also among the cast is exotic fox Moon Bloodgood, Black Eyed Peas singer Taboo, and Hong Kong legend Cheng Pei Pei (CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON). Andrzej Bartkowiak ("Romeo Must Die," "Exit Wounds") is directing from a script penned by "Voltron" scribe Justin Marks.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Rumor has it that "Friday Night Lights" star Taylor Kitsch will star as Gambit in the film, a character fans of X-Men seem to have been calling for for quite some time. Gambit has the ability to control kinetic energy, "charging" objects to the point of stability. He can turn just about anything into an explosive device and his weapon of choice is a deck of playing cards that he throws like bombs.

Also reports has it that hip-hop artist will.i.am (Black Eyed Peas) is also onboard the production as Wraith. Also known as Hector Mendoza in the X-Men comics, Wraith has the power to turn himself translucent, the character has the ability to teleport and is also a result of the Weapon X program that created Wolverine.

It appears as though David Yates will be the one helming the final Harry Potter film -- but his decision comes at a price for fans anticipating another literary adaptation.

Lois Lowry, author of the 1993 young-adult favorite The Giver, spilled the Yates/Potter news in her latest blog entry, posted Tuesday. What does Lowry have to do with it, you ask? Well, David Yates is set to direct an adaptation of her book -- but he can only be one place at a time, and, well...why don't we let Lowry tell it?

Bad news from The Giver movie front. David Yates, the director currently working on the next Harry Potter film, was supposed to begin The Giver film next. But he has just decided he wants to do the final Harry Potter first, thereby postponing The Giver by several years. Maybe the opening of this film could be held simultaneously with my celebration-of-life service after I succumb to old age? Or the producers will decide to get a different director. Stand by. But without holding your breath.

G.I. JOE:

First Look at Sienna Miller as the Baroness and Channing Tatum as Duke in G.I. Joe. Fans of the character know that Baroness is typically portrayed as a brunette, while Miller still has lighter colored hair in these pictures. However, it is certainly possible that Miller's hair could be darkened later in the film.
