Regarding cast, fans of character actor William Fichtner (PRISON BREAK) will be happy to know that he's been cast as a bank manager. Also, Joker's gang will be portrayed by actors Michael Stoyanov, William Smiley, and Matthew O'Neil.

The Dark Knight:

Eric Roberts will play a Mafia kingpin in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight. The sequel features Christian Bale returning to play Batman/Bruce Wayne as well as Heath Ledger playing The Joker. Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart and Maggie Gyllenhaal also star. Production is just beginning in Chicago for a July 2008 release.

Vin Diesel is bringing Agent 47 to life in 20th Century Fox's upcoming adaptation of "Hitman," the best-selling video game franchise from Eidos and developer IO Interactive. The Hitman, aka Agent 47, is the world's most accomplished and wealthy assassin, working for a mysterious organization called the Agency. However, he is plagued by a troubling past of deception and genetic butchery.

 

The plot for the upcoming HITMAN movie has been revealed. The hunter becomes the hunted when 47 gets caught up in a political takeover. Both Interpol and the Russian military chase the Hitman across Eastern Europe as he tries to find out who set him up and why they're trying to take him out of the game. The Night Watchman:

IGN is reporting that Chris Evans, a.k.a. The Human Torch from Fox's Fantastic Four, is set to join Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker in Fox Searchlight's The Night Watchman for writer-director David Ayer. The Night Watchman centers on a veteran LAPD cop (Keanu Reeves) who turns to alcohol after the death of his wife. The cop is forced to go up against his longtime mentor (Whitaker) when he is implicated in the execution of a fellow officer.

 

 

Magneto:

David Goyer will direct “Magneto,” the “X-Men” spinoff in development from 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios. In a storyline hinted at by the original “X-Men” films, Magneto comes to grips with his mutant ability to manipulate metal objects as he and his parents try to survive in Auschwitz. Magneto meets Professor Xavier when the latter is a soldier liberating the concentration camp. Magneto hones his powers by hunting down and killing Nazi war criminals who tortured him, and his lust for vengeance turns Xavier and Magneto into enemies. Both characters will be played by actors in their 20s.
