sickness
Bug: A lonely waitress with a tragic past, Agnes rooms in a run-down motel, living in fear of her abusive, recently paroled ex-husband. But when Agnes begins a tentative romance with Peter, an eccentric, nervous drifter, she starts to feel hopeful again - until the first bugs arrive... Probing the blurry lines between paranoia and nightmarish reality, Liongate's "Bug" is an intense, mind-bending psychological thriller in which nothing is quite as it seems. Directed by Academy Award® winner William Friedkin ("The French Connection," "The Exorcist") and adapted by Tracy Letts from his hit off-Broadway play, "Bug" stars Golden Globe nominee Ashley Judd, Harry Connick, Jr., Lynn Collins, Brían O'Byrne and Michael Shannon. movie trailer: http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809266241/trailer http://img250.imageshack.us/img250/1807/bugms5resizekr6.jpg Quote Link to comment
sickness
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver SurferRecent gossip indicates that the voice of Galactus will be provided by an actor very well-known in science fiction circles. And that actor's name is... Laurence Fishburne. The Mummy 3:Brendan Fraser has scored a lucrative deal to return for a third "The Mummy" film, but Rachel Weisz is not coming back. Whilst amounts haven't been disclosed, Fraser is said to have scored a very hefty paycheck for the project which is set in China and introduces Jet Li as a villain. Weisz, who had been in talks, dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Indiana Jones 4:Shia LaBeouf IS in the fourth "Indiana Jones" film after all. In a press release on the official site, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas have officially announced that the "Disturbia" and "Transformers" star has joined the project. LaBeouf was first linked a few weeks back, but denied the rumours in subsequent interviews - claiming that nothing was happening as far as he was aware. In a quote on the release he says "I was hoping the rumors were true, so I couldn't be more thrilled." Prince of Persia: The Sands of TimeTransformers director Michael Bay will reunite with producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Disney on the big screen version of best-selling video game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The game is set in medieval Persia, Earth's mightiest and most mysterious kingdom, where a king and his son defeat the powerful Maharajah and kidnap his daughter, looting his palace of priceless treasure, including an extravagant hourglass, and a mysterious dagger. Bay and Bruckheimer previously teamed on Bad Boys, The Rock, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor and Bad Boys II. The studio is eyeing a summer 2009 release of "Prince of Persia." Quote Link to comment
Brian®
Laurence Fishburne is Galactus in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer AICN reports that Laurence Fishburne will voice Galactus in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Fishburne’s powerful booming voice makes a perfect fit, atleast in theory. In the new film, the Fantastic Four will square off against the powerful Silver Surfer and the planet-eating Galactus. Galactus has consumed countless planets, resulting in the elimination of entire extra-terrestrial civilizations. The movie will hit theaters on June 15th 2007. Brian®
OFFICIAL: Shia LaBeouf cast in Indiana Jones 4 A couple weeks back it was highly rumored that Shia LaBeouf was in negotiations to be cast as Harrison Ford’s son in Indiana Jones. George Lucas denied it. Shia told us that he hasn’t even heard from the Indiana Jones people. It turns out - He lied. “I was hoping the rumors were true, so I couldn’t be more thrilled,” said Shia. “To be cast in an ‘Indiana Jones’ film is like grabbing the brass ring and holding on for the ride. I’ll do my best to meet the high standards that Steven, George, and Harrison have set and I can’t wait to take that giant step in front of the Indy cameras.” LaBeouf has been cast in the movie. The official announcement was made today, the same day LaBeouf’s movie Disturbia hits theaters. Coinicidence? We think not. Steven Spielberg was also involved in that other film and I’m sure Shia’s agent made a deal for the announcement to be made today, to help publicize his client’s latest movie. Call my cynical, but it sounds realistic. Production on Indiana Jones 4 begins in June. The film is scheduled for a May 22nd, 2008 release. Quote Link to comment
Brian®
Michael Bay to direct Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/2880/popzr7.png Michael Bay (Transformers) will re-team with producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Bad Boys, The Rock, Pearl Harbor, Armageddon) to direct the big screen adaptation of the popular video game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Could this mean that we will finally get a half-way descent video game movie adaptation? I think so. According to IESB, Disney hopes to have the film in theaters for a Summer 2009 release. Prince of Persia is a third-person action adventure video game which follows an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world. The Sands of Time was released in late 2003 and is a continuation to the landmark PC game series Prince of Persia, created by Jordan Mechner in 1989. The game was praised for its visual design and finely tuned game mechanics, and won several awards. The game’s success led to a 2004 sequel, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, and another sequel, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones in 2005. The initial script was written by Jordan Mechner with subsequent drafts by Jeffrey Nachmanoff. Mechner has revealed that the movie will not be a straight beat-for-beat adaptation of the videogame, but will instead take “some cool elements from the game and using them to craft a new story - much as ‘Pirates’ [of the Caribbean] did with the theme park ride.” Rumors of The Prince’s casting have already exploded across the internet. Names have ranged from John Abraham, Brendan Fraser and Barry Watson, to David Zandi and Josh Somerhalder. Some people have even thrown Howard Stern’s American Idol Loser turned winner Sanjaya Malakar into the mix. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen. I’m all for them ruining Idol (who isn’t) but not another video game movie. Disney released some production art from the project earlier this year, check it out below: http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/9818/pop1ol9.png http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/1862/pop2wd9.png http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/9770/pop3oh1.png Edited April 14, 2007 by briannx Quote Link to comment

sickness
The Incredible Hulk 2: Marvel Studios has confirmed in Variety Magazine that the role of Bruce Banner in their sequel "The Incredible Hulk" will be played by none other than Edward Norton! Slated for release on June 13, 2008 the fillm will be directed by Louis Leterrier (Unleased, The Transporter 2) and starts shooting this summer in Toronto. The storyline will find Bruce Banner on the run, trying to avoid capture long enough to cure the condition that turns him into a misunderstood green menace. Louis Leterrier will direct for Universal Pictures from a script by Zak Penn. The Hobbit: Entertainment Weekly has learned that director Sam Raimi is seriously considering in directing "The Hobbit", a choice that could potentially leave "Spider-Man 4" without a director and, says Kirsten Dunst, a leading lady. Raimi's name has been floated in connection with The Hobbit ever since a very public dustup between Peter Jackson and New Line chairman Bob Shaye left the Lord of the Rings prequel without a director. Speed Racer:"Lost" leading man Matthew Fox is in final negotiations to play Racer X in the live-action update of the 1960s cartoon "Speed Racer" for Warner Bros. He is cast as Speed's mysterious racing rival, an enigmatic soldier of fortune and Australian actor Kick Gurry is in negotiations to play Sparky, Speed's hippie mechanic. Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon and John Goodman already are on board the film, which will shoot in the summer in Berlin. The live-action update of the 1960s cartoon for Warner Bros. The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver SurferInternet rumors had Laurence Fishburne voicing the mysterious villain Galactus in Fox's summer release Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer but word comes in that while Fishburne will be voicing a character it isn't Galactus, instead he will be voicing the role of the Silver Surfer. Silver Surfer, who rides his surfboard through space, is the herald for the planet-destroying Galactus. If you are wondering what will happen with Galactus Variety does say he is in the film, but apparently Fox isn't sure if he will speak. After some back and forth with Fox publicists, they sent along the following exclusive official comment on the whole issue: "Laurence Fishburne is officially the voice of the Silver Surfer and not the voice of Galactus, as some other fan sites have stated.
