I Am Legend:

 

I am Legend will explode into theatres Dec 14th, 2007. Robert Neville (Will Smith) is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable…and manmade. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City…and maybe the world. But he is not alone. He is surrounded by “the Infected”—victims of the plague who have mutated into carnivorous beings who can only exist in the dark and who will devour or infect anyone or anything in their path.

 

For three years, Neville has spent his days scavenging for food and supplies and faithfully sending out radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. All the while, the Infected lurk in the shadows, watching Neville’s every move, waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind’s last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But his blood is also what The Infected hunt, and Neville knows he is outnumbered and quickly running out of time.

 

 

 

 

National Treasure 2: The Book of Secrets

 

Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films have begun laying out a new map for "National Treasure 2." The studio has hired Gregory Poirier to write the movie, which will again be directed by Jon Turteltaub. Nicholas Cage will unravel what is on the missing pages from John Wilkes Booth's diary.

 

John Wilkes Booth is the man who shot Abraham Lincoln. Pages are missing from his diary.

Benjamin Franklin Gates and posse are to recover pages before someone else does [long live the Confederacy!] Gates' motivation beyond historical interest. The pages implicate a Gates family member [in Lincoln's assassination]. Gates' mother will help. Relationships strained. Adventure international: London, Paris, then back to U.S.

 

MANY secrets in pages' contents. Heroes are sent in unexpected directions. Example: There is A BOOK OF SECRETS. National secrets. Big secrets. Said book contains details pointedly recalling Mason's microfilm in THE ROCK [who killed JFK? Roswell, etc.] The location of a City of Gold [Cortez] is also in this book. Heroes break into White House to get the second book. Gates must kidnap the President of the United States to keep him safe from the Confederates. Hitchcockian finale at Mount Rushmore.

Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, "300" is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Laurie Strode's Parents Cast in Rob Zombie's "Halloween"!

 

 

Rob Zombie is making sure his Halloween remake doesn't leave any of your minds as he continues to take over our main page with more casting news. Today the rock shocker turned director revealed who will play Mason and Cynthia Strode, Laurie Strode's parents in the new film, which hits theaters everywhere on August 31st. Read on for the latest casting news and watch this spot for more updates as they come in. Halloween begins shooting this month.

 

Playing Mason Strode, Laurie's father, is Pat Skipper (Predator 2, Hellraiser: Bloodline).

 

Playing Cynthia Strode, Laurie's mother, is Dee Wallace-Stone (The Howling, Cujo, E.T.).

 

Zombie's vision of this film is an entirely new take on the legend and will satisfy fans of the classic "Halloween" legacy while beginning a new chapter in the Michael Myers saga. "This is a bit of a prequel and a remake, combined," says Zombie.

Dave Meyers makes his feature directorial debut on the new thriller, which tracks the terrifying trajectory of Grace Andrews (Sophia Bush) and Jim Halsey (Zachary Knighton), a collegiate couple who are tormented by the mysterious hitchhiker John Ryder, a.k.a. The Hitcher (Sean Bean).

 

The young couple hit the road in a 1970 Oldsmobile 442, en route to spring break. But their pleasure trip soon turns into a waking nightmare. The initial encounters with Ryder are increasingly off-putting for Grace and Jim, and they bravely fight back when he ambushes them. But they are truly blindsided when he implicates them in a horrific slaying and continues to shadow them.

 

The open road becomes a suspenseful, action-packed battleground of blood and metal as, in trying to elude not only Ryder but also New Mexico State Police Lieutenant Esteridge’s (Neal McDonough) officers, Grace and Jim must fight for their lives and face their fears head-on.

Sony Pictures is previewing new footage from Spider-Man 3 at the Consumer Electronics Show. Here's the details of the movie clip:

 

The first shot was of Peter and Mary Jane on a web gazing up at the stars and talking about the future. We then cut a scene with Aunt May telling Peter how Uncle Ben proposed to her many years ago. She then pulls out her ring and gives it to Peter to give to MJ. The next sequence was by far the best fight out of all the films. Peter is riding on his scooter when all of a sudden, Harry Osborn snatches Peter up into the sky on his flying jet propelled snow board. They battle it out above and though the city, never once allowing the audience to breathe. Harry blames Peter for his father's death and launches Peter deep into a brick building. They break away still fighting when Peter then gets tossed in a window and then out. The fight continues with a chase down between the buildings where we get to see the pumpkin grenades, that sounded so very cool when they are activated. Peter even states "I hate those things" and is able to use his webbing and fling one back at Harry, piercing him in the shoulder. The fight is stopped when Peter uses his web to clothes line Harry, which drops his head onto a pipe, then bouncing off a dumpster and finally landing in the alley. Peter yells to Harry to see if he is conscious. When he doesn't move, Peter performs CPR screaming out Harry's name.

Danielle Harris Officially Confirmed For Zombie's "Halloween"!

Today Rob Zombie officially confirmed Danielle Harris' role in his remake of Halloween for Dimension Films, but what role will she play... and more importantly, will we see her naked? Read on to find out! After being committed for 17 years, Michael Myers, now a grown man and still very dangerous, is mistakenly released from the mental institution (where he was committed as a 10 year old) and he immediately returns to Haddonfield, where he wants to find his baby sister, Laurie. Anyone who crosses his path is in mortal danger.

 

Rob Zombie reveals on his official HALLOWEEN MySpace Blog that Danielle Harris will be returning to the franchise as a "grown-up" new character, Annie Brackett. Danielle Harris played Jamie Lloyd Carruthers is HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS and HALLOWEEN 5: THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS.
