sickness
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull:http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/7121/indyfordinterviewqg3.jpg The Last Airbender:Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies have greenlit the live-action epic adventure “M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender,” which will launch over the Independence Day weekend in 2010, opening on Friday, July 2, 2010. Based on the hugely successful Nickelodeon animated TV series, the live-action feature film is set in a world where human civilization is divided into four nations: Water, Earth, Air and Fire. The Fire Nation is waging a ruthless, oppressive war against the other three nations. The film’s hero, the reluctant young Aang, is the “Last Airbender” - the Avatar who, according to prophecy, has the ability to manipulate all of the elements and bring all the nations together. Aided by a protective teenage Waterbender named Katara and her bull-headed brother Sokka, Aang proceeds on a perilous journey to restore balance to their war-torn world. The Kind One:Ridley Scott will direct The Kind One for Warner Bros. Casey Affleck has already signed to star in the project about an amnesiac in 1930s Los Angeles who finds himself working for a mobster -- a sadistic killer given the nickname "the Kind One" -- and falling in love with the thug's girlfriend. The story is based on the novel by Tom Epperson, who will pen the screenplay. Atlantis Rising:Dreamworks has grabbed the Platinum comic series ATLANTIS RISING for a new live-action feature. An action-loaded sci-fi political techno-thriller, in "Atlantis," seismic disturbances at sea force world militaries to investigate the deepest part of the world's ocean, where an underground civilization emerges to wage war with planet Earth. The project is being produced and developed by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The 4th Kind:Milla Jovovich will star in The 4th Kind. Set in Alaska, the fact-based thriller concerns an ongoing unsolved mystery in which one town has seen an extraordinary number of unexplained disappearances during the past 40 years and there are accusations of a federal cover-up. Jovovich's character will be the one investigating the disappearances. The project will mark the feature directing debut of Olatunde Osunsanmi, who also wrote the script. Production will begin in late-June. X-files: I Want To BelieveThe truth is finally out there about the new "X-Files" movie title. The second big-screen spinoff of the paranormal TV adventure will be called "The X-Files: I Want to Believe," Chris Carter, the series' creator and the movie's director and co-writer. The title is a familiar phrase for fans of the series that starred David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as FBI agents chasing after aliens and supernatural happenings. "I Want to Believe" was the slogan on a poster Duchovny's UFO-obsessed agent Fox Mulder had hanging in the cluttered basement office where he and Anderson's Dana Scully worked. "I Want to Believe" comes 10 years after the first film and six years after the finale of the series, whose opening credits for much of its nine-year run featured the catch-phrase "the truth is out there." 25/8:"Jumper" star Max Thierot will replace Henry Lee Hopper as the lead in Wes Craven's tentatively titled horror thriller "25/8" for Rogue Pictures. The 17-year-old actor contracted an illness common to fellow teens: mononucleosis. Newcomers Nick Lashaway, John Magaro and Paulina Olszynski have also joined the cast, and Raul Esparza is in talks to play the film's serial killer. Magaro reportedly beat out teen star Jesse McCartney for his role, in part because Craven wanted mostly unknown actors to give the film an authentic feel. Lashaway will play a bully, Magaro will play Thierot's comic sidekick, and Olszynski will play a popular beauty among the small-town characters. Denzel Whitaker, Shareeka Epps and Emily Meade round out the cast. Quote Link to comment

sickness
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull:Here's the official movie synopsis... This newest adventure begins in the desert Southwest in 1957 - the height of the Cold War. Indy and his sidekick Mac (Ray Winstone) have barely escaped a close scrape with nefarious Soviet agents on a remote airfield. Now, Professor Jones has returned home to Marshall College - only to find things have gone from bad to worse. His close friend and dean of the college(Jim Broadbent) explains that Indy's recent activities have made him the object of suspicion, and that the government has put pressure on the university to fire him. On his way out of town, Indiana meets rebellious young Mutt (Shia LaBeouf), who carries both a grudge and a proposition for the adventurous archaeologist: If he'll help Mutt on a mission with deeply personal stakes, Indy could very well make one of the most spectacular archaeological finds in history - the Crystal Skull of Akator, a legendary object of fascination, superstition and fear. But as Indy and Mutt set out for the most remote corners of Peru - a land of ancient tombs, forgotten explorers and a rumored city of gold - they quickly realize they are not alone in their search. The Soviet agents are also hot on the trail of the Crystal Skull. Chief among them is icy cold, devastatingly beautiful Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett), whose elite military unit is scouring the globe for the eerie Crystal Skull, which they believe can help the Soviets dominate the world ... if they can unlock its secrets. Indy and Mutt must find a way to evade the ruthless Soviets, follow an impenetrable trail of mystery, grapple with enemies and friends of questionable motives, and, above all, stop the powerful Crystal Skull from falling into the deadliest of hands."
