sickness
Watchmen:Considered one of the finest comic books ever published, Watchmen was created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons giving the world what is considered to be the first realistic look at superheroes. The big screen version is being adapted by Zack Snyder (300). Today the news hit the trades on the official casting of the key players in Zack Snyder's Watchmen feature film based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Haley will play Walter Kovacs, aka Rorschach, who ignores the ban on costumed vigilantes. Crudup will play Dr. Manhattan, a superpowered being with godlike powers and temperament. Goode will play Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias, a costume adventurer who retired voluntarily, disclosed his identity and built a large fortune. He hatches a plot to avert a global catastrophe he believes will be caused by Dr. Manhattan. Wilson will play the Nite-Owl, a crime-figher who uses technical wizardry and has an owl-shaped flying vehicle. Morgan will play the Comedian, a cigar-chomping, gun-toting vigilante-turned-paramilitary agent. The Incredible Hulk:Tim Blake Nelson will play a scientist named Samuel Sterns. In Hulk lore, Sterns, aka "The Leader," is one of the Hulk's major antagonists, a menial worker in a chemical research plant who is bombarded with gamma radiation. He emerges from his accident not only green-skinned but also superintelligent, with an oversized brain. Nelson joins a strong comic book movie cast that includes two-time Oscar nominee Edward Norton (Banner), Liv Tyler (Betty Ross), Tim Roth (villain Emil Blonsky/the Abomination) and William Hurt (General Ross, Betty's father). Beowulf:Adapted from the oldest story in the English language, "Beowulf" is a hyper violent and highly sexualized tale of the warrior Beowulf (Ray Winstone) who must slay the monster Grendel (Crispin Glover). Later, Grendel's mother (Angelina Jolie) seduces Beowulf so that she can produce a replacement heir that will allow her to reestablish her dominion over the kingdom. Quote Link to comment
sickness
Indiana Jones 4:Actress Karen Allen is joining the cast of the upcoming "Indiana Jones" movie, reprising her role as spirited Marion Ravenwood, it was announced today during Comic-Con International in San Diego. Appearing via satellite with Indiana Jones 4 director Steven Spielberg, actress Karen Allen confirmed she will be in the next Indy movie. Allen will join Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, John Hurt, Ray Winstone and Jim Broadbent in the movie. The Lovely Bones:Susan Sarandon is the latest star to join Peter Jackson's next directorial outing The Lovely Bones joining Rachel Weisz, Ryan Gosling, newcomer Saoirse Ronan and Stanley Tucci as the killer. The film is based on Alice Sebold's novel telling the story of Susie Salmon, who is murdered, but continues to observe her family on Earth after her death. Although she is detached from the world she once knew, Susie witnesses the impact of her loss on her loved ones, whilst her killer skillfully covers his tracks and prepares to murder again. In a tone that is both emotionally truthful, and darkly humorous, Susie tries to balance her desire for vengeance against the love she feels for her family and her need to see them heal; and ultimately comes to understand that the concept of family can encompass both the living and the dead. Star Trek XI:"Heroes" star Zachary Quinto is a lock to play the young Spock in J.J Abrams' "Star Trek" prequel. At Comic Con today, Abrams confirmed the news once-and-for-all; bringing both new and old - Leonard Nimoy will be in the film too The Bourne Ultimatum: http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/1407/bourneultimatumver5yl7.jpg 01-18-08: http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/1530/oneeighteenoeightra1.jpg Sweeney Todd:Johnny Depp and Tim Burton join forces again in a big-screen adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning musical thriller “Sweeney Todd.” Depp stars in the title role as a man unjustly sent to prison who vows revenge, not only for that cruel punishment, but for the devastating consequences of what happened to his wife and daughter. When he returns to reopen his barber shop, Sweeney Todd becomes the Demon Barber of Fleet Street who “shaved the heads of gentlemen who never thereafter were heard from again.” Joining Depp is Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett, Sweeney’s amorous accomplice, who creates diabolical meat pies. The cast also includes Alan Rickman, who portrays the evil Judge Turpin, who sends Sweeney to prison and Timothy Spall as the Judge’s wicked associate Beadle Bamford and Sacha Baron Cohen is a rival barber, the flamboyant Signor Adolfo Pirelli. http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/4497/sweeneysmall1cu0.jpg SAW 4: Quote Link to comment

Nothing is what it seems when a suburban couple learns the dangers of blowing out a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight; four women cross paths with a costumed stalker at a local festival; a group of pranksters goes too far and discovers the horrifying truth buried in a local legend; and a cantankerous old hermit is visited by a strange trick-or-treater with a few bones to pick. Costumes and candy, ghouls and goblins, monsters and mayhem…the tricks and treats of Halloween turn deadly as strange creatures of every variety—human and otherwise—try to survive the scariest night of the year. sickness
World of Warcraft:- $100m budget- 2009 release- Set 1 year prior to WoW- PG-13 content- from an Alliance Perspective The plot for the film will take place approximately a year before the start of World of Warcraft, including races you have played and lands you have wandered in, where lots of plot arcs are melded into a two and a half hour story. The film itself will revolve around a 'badass' new hero, with a theme towards conflict and culture - being a War Movie rather than a quest movie, from an Alliance's perspective. The movie will be two to two and a half hours long, and both Legendary and Blizzard want it to have an epic action kind of feel. It will focus more on growing tensions between the races of the World of Warcraft universe and eventually culminate with some kind of battle. Character likely to make an appearance include Bolvar Fordragon, Thrall, and Cairne Bloodhoof. Arthas, a famous character from Warcraft 3, will more than likely not be in the film. First Concept Art imagehttp://img453.imageshack.us/img453/2301/warcraftartsmallxr6.jpg Woverine:Hugh Jackman, who will reprise his role as the feral mutant Logan in Fox's forthcoming X-Men spinoff Wolverine. The project is a prequel that reportedly details Logan's back-story in the Weapon X program, and his first encounter with Sabretooth. Logan is also expected to have a new love interest. The film would see Logan in Vietnam and might include cameos by comic book characters such as John Wraith, better known as the mutant teleporter Kestrel, and Fred J. Dukes, a.k.a. The Blob. Wolverine is set to start shooting in November with a 2008 release planned. Lauren Shuler-Donner is producing along with Jackman and John Palmermo through their production company, Seed Prods. Fahrenheit 451:Tom Hanks has signed on to star as Guy Montag, the central character in Fahrenheit 451. The movie will be directed by Frank Darabont, who previously worked with Hanks in The Green Mile. Darabont was also the director of the great movie, The Shawshank Redemption. Fahrenheit 451 is based on the famous book by Ray Bradbury about a future where all books are burned in order to suppress independent thoughts and actions. One of the book burners, Guy Montag, encounters a beautiful young woman and learns of an underground group who memorizes the contents of different books to preserve the thoughts of the books. 451 degrees Fahrenheit is the temperature at which paper burns. Night Train:Leelee Sobieski is set to star alongside Danny Glover and Steve Zahn in Night Train for writer/director Brian King. The film is a thriller centering on three strangers competing for a mysterious object on a train on Christmas Eve. Sobieski plays a seemingly sedate med student. DarkChylde:Story revolves around a very pretty girl's curse that allows her to transform into different creatures from her nightmares. Ariel Chylde is a physical pandora's box, and these creatures borrow her blood and bones to hitchhike over to our world. Everytime Ariel changes, she sets a different creature free in her small southern town. Pathology:Written by Neveldine and Taylor, the story centers on a young intern (Milo Ventimiglia) who is studying pathology at Philadelphia's University Hospital and encounters an attractive but murderous group of colleagues who have devised a deadly game to see who among them can commit the perfect murder, while the others compete to determine the cause of death. http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/8227/pathology080407pb4.jpg Quote Link to comment
sickness
Johnny Quest:Johnny Quest is making his way towards the multiplex. Warner Brothers has hired Hitman producers Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter to adapt the Hanna-Barbara sleuth for the silver screen. Dan Mazeau will write this live-action version of the 1960s cartoon. The original version centered on a young boy and his scientist father, a pair of world travels always up for an adventure. They were accompanied by Bandit the bulldog and Jonny's adopted brother from India on their journeys across the globe. Star Trek XI:Another name can be added to the cast list for JJ Abrams Star Trek XI, Anton Yelchin will be portraying the role of Pavel Checkov, the Russian navigator on the USS Enterprise. J.J. Abrams is putting together his bridge crew for Paramount Pictures' 11th film in the "Star Trek" franchise. Russian-born Anton Yelchin is in negotiations to play Pavel Checkov, the Russian-born navigator of the USS Enterprise under the command of James T. Kirk. Yelchin will join Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy, who will both play the role of Mr. Spock. Kite Runner:http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/5822/kiterunnerposterrr1.jpg Semi-Pro: http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/3745/54985035sd5.jpg The Punisher 2:The Punisher 2, Liongate's sequel to the 2004 Marvel Comics adaptation. Lexi Alexander will direct the movie, which begins filming this fall in Montreal for a 2008 release. Ray Stevenson (Rome) will play the title role, taking over from Thomas Jane. The screenplay was written by Nick Santora, Kurt Sutter, Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. As expected, the villain of the piece is indeed Billy Russo, a.k.a. Jigsaw. In the comics, Jigsaw was a gunman for the Maggia crime family, but in the movie he works for his uncle, Gaitano Cesare -- a wheelchair-bound Mafia don whom Billy openly despises (it's mutual). Jigsaw runs the waterfront docks of New York City and his facial disfigurement remains the handiwork of The Punisher. Despite the inclusion of a supervillain such as Jigsaw, the tone of the piece is definitely still one of gritty realism. Jigsaw is expecting a lucrative "biological" shipment in from a Romanian crimelord, Cristu Bulat. The deal rubs Cesare the wrong way since he correctly suspects that Jigsaw is looking to sell the item to a Muslim terrorist cell in Queens once he gets it. This isn't the only plotline involving Jigsaw, however. More on that shortly. Frank Castle remains on the run from the law, although the NYPD aren't exactly overeager to catch him since he's helping to rid the streets of scumbags. The hunt for The Punisher heats up once FBI Special Agent Luke McDonald becomes the bureau's liaison to the NYPD on the Castle case. Luke is obsessed with catching The Punisher for very personal reasons. Luke is partnered with a seemingly sorry excuse for an NYPD detective, the hard-drinking Martin Soap. It turns out that during his one-man war on crime Frank unintentionally killed an undercover FBI agent, Nick Donatelli, McDonald's ex-partner. (There's a little more fueling Luke's vendetta than that, though.) Frank is remorseful over the agent's death, but he's not quitting his campaign against organized crime. We suspect, though, that he may have a bit of a death wish, punishing himself for his own crimes. This heavy-handed theme of penance is driven home by Castle's ally, Dante, a former gangbanger and ex-con who used his stash of drug money to open a legit business (an arcade in Harlem) for families to patron. These different storylines converge when Jigsaw targets Donatelli's widow Angie and her child Gracie for execution. A hostage standoff brings out both the cops and Frank. Jigsaw also happens to be raising an army of multi-ethnic criminals, all of whom are keen on taking down The Punisher. Then there's the biological shipment sale that Frank Castle has to stop.
