Agent 47 (Timothy Olyphant) has been educated to become a professional assassin for hire, whose most powerful weapons are his nerve and a resolute pride in his work. 47 is both the last two digits of the barcode tattooed on the nape of his neck, and his only name. The hunter becomes the hunted when 47 gets caught up in a political takeover. Both Interpol and the Russian military chase the Hitman across Eastern Europe as he tries to find out who set him up and why they're trying to take him out of the game. But the greatest threat to 47's survival may be the stirrings of his conscience and the unfamiliar emotions aroused in him by a beautiful, damaged girl...The movie is based on the hit Eidos videogame and is set to hit theaters on October 12. A Tale of Two Sisters (remake):Elizabeth Banks will star in the horror remake "A Tale of Two Sisters" for DreamWorks as the evil stepmother to the two sisters (who are returning home after a stay in a mental institution). Based on the Kim Jee-Woon's 2003 Korean horror film of the same name, the story revolves around two sisters who return home to their father after spending time in a mental institution. Their recovery is hindered by their cruel stepmother's (Banks) obsessiveness and an interfering ghost. Saw 4:In the film Jigsaw still haunts the living, forcing them to appreciate life, or face death. As a continuation of Saw III, Jeff must find his daughter and escape the building to which they are confined before they both die. Yam Laranas, who co-wrote and directed "Sigaw," is directing the movie, which is being additionally produced by Shin Shimosawa, Tyler Mitchell and Will Wright. The story centers on a young ex-con (Bradford) who moves into an old apartment building only to learn his neighbor is an abusive police officer who savagely beats his wife and daughter. The Lovely Bones:Rachel Weisz has signed on to star in Peter Jackson's adaptation of "The Lovely Bones" for DreamWorks. Weisz will play the mother of the dead girl, a role that Jackson and his writing team of Philippa Boyens and Fran Walsh are expanding in their adaptation. Based on Alice Sebold's 2002 best-seller, the story is told through the voice of Susie Salmon, a young girl who is murdered but continues to observe her family on Earth after her death. She witnesses the impact of her loss on her loved ones, while her killer skillfully covers his tracks and prepares to murder again. The Arcanum:Gold Circle Films has picked up feature rights to Thomas Wheeler's fantasy-adventure "The Arcanum" out of turnaround from Miramax, according to Variety. "The Arcanum," Wheeler's debut novel, is set in 1919 and follows the titular secret society comprising the era's leading occult investigators -- Arthur Conan Doyle, Harry Houdini, H.P. Lovecraft and Marie Laveau -- as they battle demons descending on New York City, including a serial killer of angels.
