sickness
The Incredible Hulk:"The Incredible Hulk" will be matched against the oversized adversary Abomination, and Tim Roth will play the villain's alter ego, Emil Blonsky. Roth joins Edward Norton and Liv Tyler in the Louis Leterrier-directed drama, which is being financed by Marvel Studios and distributed by Universal Pictures on June 13, 2008. Emil Blonsky is a KGB agent who becomes the Abomination after deliberately exposing himself to the same gamma radiation (but in a greater quantity) that transforms Bruce Banner into the Hulk. Blonsky survives the radiation as, like Bruce Banner, he belongs to a small minority born with a genetic factor that caused them to mutate instead of die horribly. As a result, Blonsky is transformed into a massive green-skinned monster with physical strength exceeding even that of the Hulk. In his first appearance, the Abomination is more than twice as powerful as a calm Hulk. While able to retain his mental faculties, Blonsky soon discovered that he is unable to return to human form. John Rambo:Julie Benz will star opposite Sylvester Stallone in John Rambo. The sequel finds Rambo living in solitude until he gets involved in a girl's disappearance. The movie is currently shooting in Thailand, Mexico and the U.S. In addition to starring, Sylvester Stallone is also directing. Terminator 4:More Terminator movies are reportedly on the way. Three new installments have been "fast tracked" on the inexhaustible cyborg production line, courtesy of new rights owners The Halcyon Company, who are currently re-routing subsystems looking for extra voltage. The new film, already being planned for 2009, will "attempt to reinvent the franchise with new cast and plotlines", theoretically in the same way that benefited Batman and Bond. A script had already been penned by T3 writers John Brancato and Michael Ferris, supposedly following a thirty-something John Connor leading humanity's remainders against the robots. New Transformers cliphttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01Uky6nQJVQ RUMORS: Jetsons: Robert Rodriguez is in talks to direct a live-action feature version of futuristic 1960s cartoon The Jetsons for Warner Bros. The storyline will be based on the popular animated Hanna-Barbera TV show, which revolved around the travails of a family in the distant future. At the same time, he has met with Will Ferrell and Universal Pictures about directing Land of the Lost, based on the 1970s fantasy TV series. Ferrell is attached to star. Austin Powers 4:Mike Myers has said that he wants to make another Austin Powers movie and will start working on it after he finishes his next movie, called The Love Guru. A fourth Austin Powers movie would focus on Austin's one-time arch-enemy, Doctor Evil. "I have figured out that the story will be taken from the point of Doctor Evil," Myers said in a recent interview. "It will be powered from Doctor Evil's point of view." Myers added: "That will be the first of a trilogy. ... I'm just joking! ... I haven't figured it all out. Who knows?". He-Man and the Masters of the UniverseLegendary Pictures is reportedly looking to bring another genre epic to the big-screen: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. The rumor mill also suggests that they even have an A-list star in mind to play He-Man. According to the British tabloid The Sun, Brad Pitt is being eyed to play Prince Adam/He-Man in the long-in-development movie. (Dolph Lundgren played the role in the 1987 live-action Masters of the Universe feature.) Quote Link to comment

sickness
The Untouchables: Capone RisingNicolas Cage will play Al Capone in a prequel to Brian DePalma's 1987 hit "The Untouchables". The movie will be directed by DePalma and will focus on the early interactions between Capone and Irish cop Jimmy Malone, who was played by Sean Connery in the original movie. Both Sean Penn and Colin Farrell are being considered for the role of Malone. Principal photography on the movie will begin in October. The film's current title is "The Untouchables: Capone Rising". Pompeii:Orlando Bloom and Scarlett Johansson look to have been signed up by director Roman Polanski to star in his historical epic Pompeii. The movie will be based on the action thriller by Robert Harris, that although is a historical book, is very much action based. It follows Marcus Attillius Primus, a young engineer, sent to repair the greatest aqueduct in the Roman Empire, which brings water to 250,000 people on the Bay of Naples. Attilius not only has to fight the corrupt forces that control the town of Pompeii, but ultimately the overwhelming power of nature itself. Saw 4:Costas Mandylor, who starred as Forensic Hoffman in both Saw II and Saw III, will reprise his role in Lionsgate's Saw IV. Tobin Bell, Angus Macfadyen, Shawnee Smith, Lyriq Bent, Scott Patterson, Justin Louis are already cast in the Darren Lynn Bousman directed horror film which is currently filming in Toronto. Jigsaw still haunts the living in Saw IV, forcing them to appreciate life, or face death. As a continuation of Saw III, Jeff must find his daughter and escape the building to which they are confined before they both die. After finding another tape of Jigsaw, Jeff realizes there may be a newly added piece of the puzzle that he must decipher before it's too late. Saw IV arrives in theatres on October 26th, 2007. The Dark Knight:Rumors are spreading online that The Dark Knight may feature an origin story of sorts for The Joker, played by Heath Ledger. If true, an origin subplot would help clarify discrepancies about the Clown Prince of Crime's look in the Christopher Nolan-directed sequel to Batman Begins. Quote Link to comment

sickness
The Mummy 3: Curse Of The DragonMaria Bello will replace Rachel Weisz in the third installment of The Mummy 3: Curse of the Dragon after Weisz left because of "script problems". Variety reports that she joins Brendan Fraser, Luke Ford, Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh in the Rob Cohen-directed film for Universal Pictures. Bello will play Evelyn Carnahan O'Connell, the adventuress played in the first two films by Weisz. After Weisz declined to reprise, Cohen and the studio cast a wide net for a replacement. Scripted by "Smallville" creators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, the film brings the O'Connells and their full-grown son (Ford) to the forbidden tombs of China and the Himalayas, where they battle a shape-shifting mummy, a former Chinese emperor (Li) cursed by a wizard (Yeoh). The Dark Knight:Rumor has it that Cillian Murphy and the Scarecrow will return for The Dark Knight. Originally there were rumors that Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin would be in the film but that news was debunked and many began to wonder if another villain would join Joker. It's unclear how large Scarecrow's role will be but he may play a part in helping Joker concoct his "Joker toxin". brian
Boreanaz Up For "Sub-Mariner"? "Bones" and "Angel" star David Boreanaz could be up for the role of Marvel comics hero "The Sub-Mariner" reports Superhero Hype. A scooper for the site says that David recently auditioned for the role in the Universal Pictures project which Jonathan Mostow is directing. In the comics Namor is the son of a human sea captain and of a princess of the mythical undersea kingdom of Atlantis. Namor possesses the super-strength and aquatic abilities of the "Homo mermanus" race. Through the years, he has been alternatively portrayed as a good-natured but short-fused superhero, or a hostile invader seeking vengeance for perceived wrongs that misguided surface-dwellers committed against his kingdom. brian
Metal Gear Solid Movie ExclusiveWill David Hayter be involved? May 14, 2007 - The one question that fans have consistently asked us ever since the news broke that Konami and Sony Pictures were teaming to turn the videogame Metal Gear Solid into a feature film is whether screenwriter-actor David Hayter would be involved with the project. Hayter voiced the game's protagonist, Solid Snake. Now IGN can exclusively report that Hayter will not be a part of the film. We have confirmed that Hayter pitched his take on the project to Konami but they have opted not to hire him to script and/or produce it. Hayter even penned a treatment for the proposed big-screen version but, alas, the powers-that-be passed on it. An insider who has read Hayter's treatment advised us that his take was "Metal Gear as the Apocalypse Now of the digital age, with Snake at the center of a swirling whirlpool of Genomic/military madness." Since voicing Solid Snake, Hayter has carved out a second career for himself as a screenwriter, beginning with Bryan Singer's X-Men. His screenplay adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' graphic novel Watchmen is being revised by Alex Tse and director Zack Snyder for the long-in-development feature film. Quote Link to comment
