Serial Killer
ALEXANDER Despite many reports that Baz Luhrmann's ALEXANDER (which would star Leonardo DiCaprio as Alexander and Nicole Kidman as his mother) was completely dead, producer Dino De Laurentiis insists that it's still on. He recently told Italian newspaper "Il Corriere della Sera" that the film will be shot in a year and that it'll be "the Alexander everyone has been waiting for." When asked about Oliver Stone's ALEXANDER, he mentioned that the picture was flawed and was missing the "spine of a screenplay". Laurentiis promises, of course, that his will have a spine, a full back and abs you could crush an aluminum bat on. Quote Link to comment
crezi_munky
Originally titled 'Behind the Mask,' the prequel to Red Dragon and the fourth 'Silence of the Lambs' film The Lecter Variation has finally begun casting for a shoot this May. "It is a revenge story that shows why he became a cannibal," said Producer Dino De Laurentiis. "But he kills people that audiences want to see killed. So while there is a natural revulsion, the sympathy toward Hannibal remains. Actress Gong Li has been cast in the "Red Dragon" prequel "The Lecter Variation", which takes a snapshot of flesh-wearing Hannibal the Canniabl in his younger years. Li, soon to be seen in "Memoirs of a Geisha", was handpicked by Director Peter Webber to star in the film. The roles of Hannibal - at various ages - and his sister Mischa Lecter are currently being cast. It's believed Anthony Hopkins is in talks to either narrate or make an appearance - as the older 'Hannibal' - in the flick. "Variation", which will centre on Lecter's childhood in Lithuania through a period in Paris to his arrival in the US, will be produced by Dino De Laurentiis, and starts filming in May. sana ngyng year ipalabas ito.... Brian®
Superman Returns (SPOILERS) Superman Returns Story Details?? Our anonymous scooper who has provided us with two major scoops (Brandon Routh and Marlon Brando) has chimed in yet again with a bit of story details from SUPERMAN RETURNS! THIS MAY OR MY NOT HAPPEN, we can’t confirm this at this time. Here is what we are being told: SPOILERS AHEAD!!!! Highlight if you dare! While Superman has been gone on a 6 year round trip to Krypton to see if he is indeed the last son of that doomed planet, Lois Lane has moved on with her life. Lois Lane now has a five-year-old son and the father is no other than Richard White, played by James Marsden. When Superman returns Lois and Richard are engaged to be married. Also there will be at least two suits used in the film. The original classic costume and the other one will be (his space suit) for his journey back to Krypton that will have a strong resemblance to this image (on your right). Lastly I saw that you’ve posted the set pictures from Reuters. That crash scene in the Kent farm is when Superman crashes back home from his Krypton journey. Quote Link to comment
Brian®
Jor-El Has Been Cast...Well, Sort of!UPDATE: WE RECIVED NUMEROUS EMAILS FROM CLOSE SOURCES AND THIS IS NO LONGER A RUMOR BUT INDEED TRUE, MARLON BRANDO IS JOR-EL IN SUPERMAN RETURNS! A few weeks ago I heard there would not be an announcement regarding the casting of Jor-El because he had already been cast...a long time ago. A few names have been going around, including Brian Singer's favorite Patrick Stewart, but to date those have been only rumors. Bryan Singer has mentioned that he will use items that are familiar to the first two films such as the design of the Fortress of Solitude and of Krypton. He has also mentioned that he will use part of the very well known John Williams score. So who is Jor-El in Superman Returns you ask? Apparently, none other than Marlon Brando himself! Yes, yes we all know he is no longer with us so just how will this happen? As far as we can tell Brando will not be CGI, but Singer plans to use stock footage of Marlon Brando that was originally shot by "Superman" director Richard Donner. Considering that Jor-El's role in Superman Returns is very minor this might just work. Brando and Christopher Reeve were once filmed interacting with one another to be used in Superman II, (here's the deleted scene image on your left) but due to a lawsuit against the Salkinds for a percentage of the sequel, the scenes were deleted and re-shot using the mother (Susannah York) instead. Can this change? Yes of course all rumors do but it seems this is the way Singer wants to go. And if it's true you know where you heard or read it first! No official comment from Warner Bros. at this point. Filming begins this month in Australia. Edited March 18, 2005 by briannx Quote Link to comment
