It can also hunt rats even if it is not hungry.  But Yorkies are very expensive, and needs monthly haircut.

A bigger and better rat hunter is the Jack Russell Terrier - although I recommend the short leg for apartment living, because long leg jumps higher - can reach things on the 4 feet high counter table, and needs more running space.  Don't forget to let it chew mature coconut - the meat trims it's tummy and the husk trims it's teeth, so you will have less wooden furniture damage, and less painful bites.  

Don't forget to store your sandals and other footwear because JRTs will destroy them.

I agree with this one, also consider size of your condo, pwede rin dachshund or any dogs with less hair para convenient/ less maintenance (haircut).
