I will not be quick to judge those who use fakes.  The maids I see in Honkong almost always wear fakes.  Our maids wear fakes. Is it because they are pretentious?  They dont know any better and happy sila at nakamura sila.  Nagagandahan lang talaga. Gusto Lang nila maging up to date.  Once I bought our maid the real stuff pero pang araw araw NA local NA real leather  Then she received a fake bag with all the L’s and V’s for Xmas.  You can see the happiness in her expression.  Mixed emotions ako.  Naawa ako NA natutuwa para sa kanya.  After that all my gifts were still originals but medyo sunod sa taste nila at hindi sa taste ng wife ko.  Kahit baduy yung pinili nila go Lang basta they’re happy.

I used to be a snob, but nowadays I'm fine with either/both. We've come to a point where decent batches of reps have better quality control than retail. So to me, it's usually boils down to whichever is easier to purchase + the "quality/cost ratio." And I'll gladly tell people I'm wearing reps if they ever ask, couldn't care less about being judged
