1 - they are less advanced than humans. so they just can't make contact. this is the ideal one.

2 - they are far more advanced than humans that it's only a matter of time. then we just pick between enslavement or total annihilation.

Expanding ang universe,kung meron man, they have. to be technologically advanced for space travel and communication. At least faster than light technology. Probably hindi pa nila kaya din. 

Another is baka nandito na sila and they helped shaped our evolution.
