The core is really good, not aa good as thr 76ers, but it will do. With the russel clarkson fast paced combo, and ingram randle at forward the lakers will really play at an up tempo pace. Although I am still at doubt at the ability of walton as a coach. He was not the reason for that goldeb state winning streak, it was the plays instilled in the players meaning he only needs some minor adjustment. Just look at the pelicans now, with gentry as coach and a former assistant coach to kerr in golden state. He failed to repeat the success he had in the bay for the reason that maybe kerr is really a good coach. Anyways, lakers really need another guy on either the center or the forward spot.if they get one on the center position atleast get running center, not the typical slow ass centers like howard. Or they could get another forward to play the small ball. Calderon is also the stabilizer on offense with his ability to find the right man at the right time, this is incase the russell/westbrook offense does not work. Williams on the other hand is a liability on defense and is a ball hog, he could score 20pts in a quick 5 mins stint but the ball never rotates and this could backfire in the lategame since the team would be solely dependent on him.

Every one of the guards here is a ball hog.

Lakers reportedly willing to buy out Nick Young's contract

It looks like Nick Young is about to get dumped again.

 

The Lakers are trying to trade the veteran guard and failing that, are willing to buy out his contract to get rid of him, Bleacher Report's Kevin Ding reports.

 

Young has two years and more than $11 million left on his four-year, $21 million contract, which the Lakers gave him after he provided a spark off the bench in his first season with his hometown team. However, the Lakers' love affair with "Swaggy P" has cooled considerably since then, as he has struggled on the court and made bad headlines off of it.

 

The most infamous was when he feuded with teammate D'Angelo Russell, who secretly taped him apparently talking about cheating on his pop star girlfriend Iggy Azalea. The video went viral and Azalea broke up with Young a few months later.

 

Young recently said he's ready to put it all in the past and play with Russell again, but it appears the Lakers want to move on from him.

That guy is a bust with a poor work ethic! The only reason I think the Lakers are bringing him in is to attract the Asian community in L.A. Other than that, he can't keep up with NBA

Yi played well during international competition. Scouts come in to see if there are any players they can look at that can play and try them out for a roster spot.

 

International competition gives great exposure for players who want to make an NBA team.

It's good that Shaq and Kobe were able to patch things up between them...now they can already talk about their previous animosity towards each other like a joke. Maybe it's because of their mutual disdain of Dwight Howard. LOL
