daphne loves derby
Interesting choices by The C's. The picks they selected plays almost similar to Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. (Wing Players)I think 1 of those 2 will be packaged in a trade for a superstar. Quote Link to comment
dencio
Celts now sitting on a pile of cap space. Obvious needs are PG and C - so who will they target? Kemba? Russell? Cousins? Vucevic? Quote Link to comment
will robie
really not worried? sinu aasahan mu? wala na nga si LeBron sa east wala pa rin ang C's.. Ainge should be fired.. will robie
Brad and Danny seem to be fixated with wings. They drafted another wing. Quote Link to comment

will robie
panindigan mu na lang katangahan ng GM mu..-How is Ainge stupid? look at your C's line up..even Anthony Davis don't want to play in Boston..-Am I supposed to cry because Davis didn't wanna play for Boston? Hahaha! How shallow can you get? sinu ang mag aangat sa kanila? Brown, Tatum, Hayward, Smart? lahat yan ball dominant..ibig sabihin efficient kapag sa kanila ang bola which is kaya bantayan ng one on one..no ball movement..-An analysis of a moron who doesn't know anything about basketball. sigeh ipanalo mu na lang yung Boston mu kahit dito man lang sa MTC..-No need to. My team has 17 championships, dumbass. Quote Link to comment
will robie
The Cs drafted an athletic 6'6 wing who can drive and shoot and can defend. He also has the length and versatility to defend multiple positions. The Jays have these characteristics too. It would be nice to see what these three can do on the floor for the Cs when they play on the floor at the same time. From what I see on this Langford, I can see some serious upside. Celtic another first round exit, a 7th seeded in weaker East Ainge should be fired? So who will replace him? Celtics was eliminated 2nd round this year and they reached the eastern conference finals the year before. What do you mean by another first round exit? Danny Ainge is still considered one the of the best GM in NBA. Yes, he's under heavy criticism for the Kyrie fiasco and Al Horford opting out. However Boston is still in good shape if they can retain Terry Rozier plus they now have a huge cap space to sign FAs. Kyrie leaving might even be beneficial to the development of young players. IMHO the real problem here is Gordon Hayward and his huuuge 30M contract. Quote Link to comment
daphne loves derby
The C's Cap space are not as promising and not as flexible as other teams that are pursuing FA superstars https://celticswire.usatoday.com/2019/06/25/celtics-salary-cap-situation-post-draft/ While the Celtics could have maximum cap space they are unlikely to access that much. The Celtics have six free agents that are set to enter restricted free agency and it is safe to say they will extend qualifying offers to Terry Rozier and Daniel Theis. Retaining both their cap holds slots the Celtics with $24.9 million in cap space. They can increase that figure to $25.6 million if they waive Ojeleye. While those figures aren’t maximum cap space they are still enough to pursue a top center. According to Shams Charania, Celtics are expected to pursue Magic center Nikola Vucevic. They will be able to make him a competitive offer with their cap space. Thunder center Steven Adams who is owed $25.8 million next season “is on Boston’s radar” according to A. Sherrod Blakely. The Celtics could easily reduce their payroll to fit him into their cap space. The Celtics also drafted Carsen Edwards and Tremont Waters in the second round of the draft. If they want to sign both players to contracts that exceed two years they will need to dip into their cap space. There is a good chance that the Celtics portion their cap space on a new starting center while using the rest to sign Edwards and Waters to multi-year deals. Quote Link to comment

Chippy23
Cs should prioritize getting Vucevic instead of Kemba. Rozier is a starting pg. Quote Link to comment
Thelibrarian101
Celts are set to play positionless basketball IMHO: PG: Plug in either a 3-n-D PG (Marcus Smart), or a smart playmaker and scorer (Rozier)SG: Jaylen Brown - Elite perimeter defender and improving scorer, getting better at attacking close-outs and positioning himself off the ball.F: Jayson Tatum - He needs to assume the #1 Offensive option mindset. He has the moves and the mental fortitude as seen in his rookie playoff campaign. He shines under bright lights. Will probably average 21-7-3-1-1 in his 3rd season.F: Gordon Hayward - He can operate as an off-ball sniper or an on-ball decision maker, pick and roll ball handler and screener, He's Thad Young on steroids where you can plug and play him in any capacity.C: A defensive center who can roll. They can go for Clint Capela, or develop Robert Williams. They can also opt to go for Vooch as a traditional Center who can stretch the floor, but I dont think he fits Brad Steven's faster paces style. You can even plug in Daniel Theis in here, but he's better suited as a backup center. They wont win any championships but they will make noise and develop the youngsters that they have. They are going to be fun to watch again without the ball dominant ways of Kyrie (who is btw a biiiiiig hole on defense). Probs will secure the 3rd/4th seed and exit the 2nd round again. Probs will secure the 3rd/4th seed and exit the 2nd round again. If the Cs sign Kemba Walker, Rozier is sure as gone. Kemba will more than make up for the impending loss of Kyrie Irving. Kyrie is, in my opinion, still the best shot maker in the NBA but Kemba has the sickest cross over in the NBA. Kyrie'ss diva attitude is what held the Celtics from fulfilling their potential. He's a Robin, not a Batman and it has been proven last year. KI averaged 23.8 ppg last year while KB averaged 25.6 ppg for the Hornets. Although it's possible that Walker will be the focal point of the offense, it is also probable that the Jays are given the keys to the offense by Brad Stevens. One thing the Cs lack is a serviceable big man. It may take a year or two before "Time Lord" realizes his potential. As for a championship, we will see. The pundits never even gave the Cs a shot at the ECF two years ago without GH and KI but the Cs were a good quarter away from being the Eastern champs. Now that the diva and his ball-hogging ways are gone, Brad can now resume his "read and react" offense. The Jays were raw two years ago and this year could be their breakout year. I see Jaylen Brown as Kawhi Leonard like but, of course, Kawhi has better handles and shot making plus mental toughness which Jaylen still has to develop. Thelibrarian101
Kawhi took time to develop the handles he has now. Credit his big hands too. Jaylen has the potential to be that kind of lock down defender but his shot release is slower than kawhi limiting his scoring off jumpers and post ups potential. As a shooter though he has a good fundamental for to hit it consistently. Quote Link to comment
