sonnyt111
Are you happy with Globe Telecom's voice and data services? Would like to hear about your experiences especially now that Globe announced the upgrading of it's network infrastructure. Quote Link to comment

Are you happy with voice service of Globe? Lagi nalang napuputol ang connection habang may kausap ako. Tapos choppy/garbled pa kaya hinde kami nagkaintindihan ng kausap ko. :angry2: :angry2: i just recently bought a new sim. I had a similar problem several months ago. I was auto subscribed to another service and kept getting billed for that service. I called Globe and they provided credit adjustments to my succeeding statements of account. Edited February 21, 2013 by TheSmilingBandit Quote Link to comment

maxiev
The service still isn't up to par imho. I'm on a post paid plan but the signal is very erratic. It's so frustrating making and receiving calls because I and the person I'm speaking with cannot make out what each other is saying. We are forced to resort to texting which defeats the purpose of unli calling. I can most definitely say I'm not getting my money's worth. Globe promised LTE technology and 4G. I'd be happy just to get a signal!! Quote Link to comment
chabot
Mahina reception ng globe. On the average, halos 40% ng calls ko kahit nasan ako, either napuputol, ndi kami magkarinigan or ndi magconnect. That's how bad it is. Quote Link to comment

It's good to know I'm not the only one experieincing such poor service. I hope there and MTC member who's from Globe and is reading this exchange. Maybe he/she can enlighten us when we can expect to have improved service at this once leader in telecommunications technology. Globe seem to have fallen by the wayside. Quote Link to comment

I am seriously considering shifting to Smart within the next couple of months if the service of Globe doesn't improve. Problem is I'm on an unli post paid plan and most of my contacts use Globe. Perhaps I can convince them to shift to Smart as well. And the most ironic thing about all this is I live in a village that's part of the Ayala Group. You'd think Smart Telecom wouldn't have a presence in this area but the situation's just the opposite. Go figure.... Quote Link to comment

Go figure.... I live in a Makati Village as well that's part of the Ayala Group. I don't have a signal in the house at all. Can't even send a text, much less make a call. Baka lumipat na din ako sa Smart. Smart isn't exactly world class but at least I'm able to make calls and send text messages from inside the house. It's disconcerting to say the least since Globe already announced that it has already completed the modernization of its infrastrucuture in Makati. Nakalimutan ata nila ang village namin. I'm still hopeful that Globe will improve its voice and data services in the Makati area as well as in other parts of Metro Manila and outside Metro Manila. I've encountered similar experiences as those who posted earlier in this forum. I've been a loyal Globe customer for over 10 years and I'd hate to shift to Smart but I may have to very soon because making calls is almost next to impossible. Extremely frequent dropped calls, extremely weak or non-existent signal, garbled conversations, late arrival of text messages, and very slow internet connection isn't my idea of a world-class telecom firm. I'd understand if this problem is outside Metro Manila but I live and work in Makati for crying out loud. Ayala country!! Quote Link to comment

Good thing I'm on an unlimited voice plan. If the call drops I just call back. What I can't understand is why the signal strength is so low and erratic. People ask me why my phone is turned off. I tell them it isn't. It's because I don't have a signal! Frustration doesn't begin to describe how I feel about Globe's service. Park Square is now closed and slated for demolition in order to make way for a new mall/condominium, or who knows? The Ayala Group is investing so much or improvement of its commercial complex but I have yet to feel the advantages of their so called modernization program of its Globe Telecom network. I've been getting the same lousy service for many years now and it seems to be getting worse. If there's anyone out there from Globe, kindly enlighten us about what the hell is going on with the network. Complaining is like talking to a trained monkey. They always apologize and read from a script which does nothing at all to explain why the service is getting worse. We have a virtual monopoly in the telecom industry. There are only two major players. Globe and Smart. Some choice Filipinos have. And the Department of Transportation and Communication, which is supposed to be the public's advocate for better telecommunication rates and services, seems inutil. I wish foreign telecom companies such as Vodaphone, T-Mobile, or NTT DoCoMo would offer its services in the Philippines to give these two virtual monopolies some much needed competition. dos8dos
wireless land line service SUX Quote Link to comment
sonnyt111
wireless land line service SUX If the wireless landline of Globe is dependent on the same signal strength as its cellular network counterpart, it comes as no surprise that the land line service of Globe is likewise very poor. So far all the feedback about Globe's network has been negative. Anyone out there with a different experience insofar as Globe's service is concerned? Any subscribers out there who are happy with Globe's service? Quote Link to comment
