muad_dib Posted October 24, 2020 Share Posted October 24, 2020 Define heaven or hell...would it suffice to say that one is the extreme realm of all known pleasures absent the opposite one which is the realm of all suffering and pain and hell is the reverse?...if so, then what would it matter in the end if it will not hold on to your memory after your human body have been repurposed? The same biological husk that makes sensation experience and memory retention possible from a chemical and physiological standpoint...after it ceases its most efficient form to contain and generate the energy and power that drive feelings, memory and thought processes...what use will it have of a heaven or hell concept? Maybe a better reflection is how close are you to surrounding your experiences with preferred pleasures vs. non-preferred experiences...so heaven or hell exists in just the now...not a very sustainable after-life thought unless you want to frame it as that same Robin Williams movie or that best selling book...stating that the hell and heaven is gauged by how far away you are from that which brings you contentment and fulfillment multiplied by time...or maybe hell is not pain and suffering...more like despair and desolation eternal and heaven is just good ole contentment and balance.
