cocoy0
Chicken Bon Chon serves chicken fastfood a la Korean. It features beer, buffalo-style, chicken sandwiches and seafood. What's your take? Reviews, menu, sites and recipes are welcome. 1 Quote Link to comment
omega2959
their prices are very good for what they serve. i love their spicy flavor chicken. their iced tea is also very good since its different from the usual fast food iced tea Quote Link to comment
sOin2you
it's the outer cover that's got the taste. but once you eat it separately from the chicken's meat inside, far off. Quote Link to comment

asmodeus
This is just a re-post from the FOOD TRIP FR thread ..... (my short review) CHICKEN BON CHONTrinoma Mall, Quezon City http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz142/DevilAsmodeus/Chicken%20Bon%20Chon/IMG_4897.jpg Was at the mall recently and was looking around for a good place to eat. With probably the exception of Cyma, nothng else really tweaked my interest that particular day. Well that is until we saw Chicken Bon Chon ....... its Fast Food, but who knows right ??? we'll never know until we try. http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz142/DevilAsmodeus/Chicken%20Bon%20Chon/IMG_4896.jpg Ginger Tofu Saladhttp://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz142/DevilAsmodeus/Chicken%20Bon%20Chon/IMG_4876.jpg Consisting of lettuce, shredded carrots, shredded tortilla thats fried crispy and tofu that is lightly battered and fried .......The dressing of the salad had a strong hint of ginger (which personally, is not to my liking) Bulgogi Wrap http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz142/DevilAsmodeus/Chicken%20Bon%20Chon/IMG_4886.jpg Here I am, imagining a Korean version of the shawarma..... http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz142/DevilAsmodeus/Chicken%20Bon%20Chon/IMG_4894.jpg I sliced open the wrap to see the insides and decided there and then that perhaps they should have just called this a COLESLAW WRAP. While we are still on the coleslaw, we also ordered Kimchi Coleslaw which looks and tastes pretty much like the ones stuffed in the so called Bulgogi Wrap (except for the addition of a few sprinkles of chili powder) http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz142/DevilAsmodeus/Chicken%20Bon%20Chon/IMG_4879.jpg I actually would be more happy if they just serve regular kimchi. Chap Chaehttp://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz142/DevilAsmodeus/Chicken%20Bon%20Chon/IMG_4891.jpg The glass noodles are not as thick as one normally finds in the more traditional Korean restos. (me thinks they used the Chinese version) I find the dish overly sweet. Fried Drumsticks / Chicken Wings For the chicken, we ordered the drumsticks with the garlic sauce and the wings with the hot and spicy sauce. I was surprised when our order came and both the wings and the drumsticks were bundled in a single container. I was thinking that the opposing flavors would get mixed up and that we'd end up with all the chicken tasting the same. http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz142/DevilAsmodeus/Chicken%20Bon%20Chon/IMG_4872.jpg I immediately called the attention of the server to remind them of their mistake and for some strange reason, the server ignored my remark and just turned away...... perhaps I should have stood up, approached one of the supervisors and lodge a complaint on the somewhat rude server. But I guess the cooler head in me decided to just let this one go. Going back to the chicken ...... The skin is quite crispy and adequately coated with the sauce. (though some people might want more sauce) The problem with the chicken is that it's only the skin that has all the flavor...... The rest of the meat are completely bland. Some pieces of the chicken (especially the drumsticks) were a little undercooked as I can still see some pink on the meat. Fish Rice Box http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/zz142/DevilAsmodeus/Chicken%20Bon%20Chon/IMG_4869.jpg Slightly crispy skin, sauce that is of the right sweetness and the meat of the fish that's perfectly cooked. Considering this fast-food eatery specializes in chicken ...... This non-chicken food item is actually my favorite dish of the day. Quote Link to comment

fatso8
it's the outer cover that's got the taste. but once you eat it separately from the chicken's meat inside, far off.totally agree.. hindi juicy & walang flavor yung meat. The taste is all in the skin/breading. Same is true with Chicken Charlie (Bon Chon's local counetrpart) Quote Link to comment
tequilasunrise
I like their squid rings and fish. As for the chicken... bitin sa sauce - siguro kasi sa labas lang may flavor, yung meat medyo bland. Quote Link to comment
