rapturousone
i think the azkals played an excellent first half. but they ran out of steam for the second half and couldn't keep their defense together. they still have a long way to go and there is a lot of room for improvement. they have to keep playing together more. i am sure that with slow and steady work, they will be climbing more rungs up the FIFA ladder. i say lets back these boys up! on a lighter note, i thought that there was going to be a stampede when beckham took off his jersey! even the well-heeled lady seated behind me let off a slew of four letter words! i must admit, i would have probably done the same if victoria took off her top. where the f.... was she?!? StraightEdge
Score doesent matter, ang importante nagkaroon sila ng experience to play with a very talented team like LA. Galaxy. there's always room for improvement. Quote Link to comment
Agent_mulder
My uncle in San Jose, California saw the game and here is his comment/obsevartion: "I actually watched the game between the Askals (sic) vs. the Galaxy. I'm sorry to say thatthe team I saw on the pitch performed like one of the many collegiate team we havehere. There was no display of a strong offense and I didn't see any counter attackwhen the opportunity was there. I think my son's club coach Artie could do a betterjob than Weiss. I saw some talent indeed but, it's the coach job to identify whichposition its (sic) individual should be playing." Edited December 15, 2011 by Agent_mulder Quote Link to comment

Sagamania123
as someone who has loved the game since i was 7 years old I don't think I can ever even like this team. They seem to be more in show business than football business Quote Link to comment
Agent_mulder
Watching last night the game between Real Madrid and Sevilla, I can't help but wonder kung ganoon lang sana ang klase ng depensa meron ang Azkals more so sa offense.. Quote Link to comment

MagicMass
A win against CFI de Madrid would be great! But you have to first improve your offense and defense. Quote Link to comment

king_saging
1st year pa lang naman since Team Azkals was formed so there's alot of room to grow kung talagang seryoso silang maging isang elite team. step by step process lang yan. wag nga lang sanang totoo ang sinasabi ng marami na magaling lang ang Azkals sa porma at ads, eh kung totoo man un eh wla tlagang patutunguhan ang Azkals kunin nalang muna natin import si Cristiano Ronaldo. dude, no, the azkals are not just a one year old team. mga bandang early to mid-2000s pa lang katunayan e naririnig-rinig ko na ang mga pangalang younghusband (reserve pa sila sa chelsea fc nung mga time na yun) at syempre yung "poging" team captain na si aly borromeo. since time immemorial, panahon pa ng mga lolo natin, may national football team na tayo. does the name paulino alcantara ring a bell? isa siyang notable player ng PFT na naglaro rin para sa FC Barcelona. mga panahon pa to ng spanish-american war at philippine revolution no hating ha, pero pinapaliwanag ko lang. may "azkals" na bago pa sila naging "uso" sa public. on another note, just my dos centavos, marami pang kakaining bigas ang national football team. i always had love for the game, i've been playing football since elementary school and a fan ever since. based on my experience basically may dalawang major fields na kinakailangan para sa football - skill atsaka mental game/creativity. technically speaking, kulang na kulang sa skill ang national team. yung mga "poging" player na yan, sablay ang mga putek - walang first touch, ambabagal ng pace, hindi pinpoint ang passing, palpak magdala ng bola, ambu-buwakaw ng forward, palpak dumepensa sa baba. idagdag pa diyang yung kakulangan sa creative gameplay - ito rin yung napapansin ko sa mga player kahit saan sa pilipinas, "seryoso" nga daw sa football pero palaging kinakalimutang GAME atsaka SPORT pa rin ito. may "disiplina" nga, rigid naman ang gameplay, hindi fluid. dagdag pa diyan ay ang malaking pagkukulang sa mental preparedness - at diyan pumapasok ang teamwork/team chemistry. pero from the looks of it, mukha namang maayos ang samahan ng football team. kailangan lang talaga ng practice. atsaka napakalungkot, na para lang makagarner ng publicity ay dinadaan sa paramihan ng "imported" players. don't take me wrong, i have nothing against having imports, pero sana naman yung medyo deserving nga atsaka yung hindi lang para sa show business. etheridge, phil younghusband (mas karespe-respeto para sa akin yung laro ng kapatid niya na si james) the captain borromeo, del rosario, saka yung spaniard na si guirado - tsk, itong mga to ba talaga pagdadalhin natin ng Philippine flag? sa totoo lang dalawa lang yung pinakanirerespeto ko sa national team - si chieffy saka schrock. great midfielders. tingin ko magiging 3-1 or 3-2 for madrid cf yung laban. pero hindi ko pa nakikita game ng madrid, at hindi rin naman sila real madrid b team, so hindi ko sure. pag sakaling nanalo azkals, either may miracle, or talagang mismatch lang yung kalaban but i highly doubt it . but still, for a "good cause" naman daw itong exhibition match for typhoon sendong victims. keep supporting! cheers ps. hindi real madrid kakalabanin nila ha, inter de madrid. sobrang hindi pa kaya ng azkals ang real madrid kahit pa yung b team nila Quote Link to comment
