It Will Take 6.25 BILLION "Man Years" To Pay Off Federal Government Liabilities: "A Mathematical Impossibility"

http://www.shtfplan....bility_10312014

If it will take the American government 6.25 billion "may years" to pay off this debt, how many years will it take China to pay off its debt? Imagine all the spending that China has done in the last 25 years.

I think all countries have their own debts, the Philippines included. Isn't it just a simple matter of offsetting one debt over another? Just wondering....

What Does Societal Collapse and Martial Law Look Like?

http://www.shtfplan....k-like_11042014

Such a scenario isn't too difficult to fathom. The Black Friday videos alone show how people act like animals just because of a sale. What more if food is at stake? One only needs to remember what happened in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. There was a total breakdown in law and order. Even cops were caught on video looting stores.

Actually looting is bound to happen in any country if survival is at stake. It happened as well in Leyte after Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda hit that area but to a much lesser degree than what happened in New Orleans.

One also only needs to watch those end-of-days movies to get an idea of what societal breakdown is all about.

Could Collapse At Anytime: "When It Ends, All Hell Is Going To Break Loose"

Just one question: Where did the author of this article get the data he presented?

To wit:

Right now, JPMorgan Chase has more than 67 trillion dollars in exposure to derivatives but it only has 2.5 trillion dollars in assets.

Right now, Citibank has nearly 60 trillion dollars in exposure to derivatives but it only has 1.9 trillion dollars in assets.

Right now, Goldman Sachs has more than 54 trillion dollars in exposure to derivatives but it has less than a trillion dollars in assets.

Right now, Bank of America has more than 54 trillion dollars in exposure to derivatives but it only has 2.2 trillion dollars in assets.

Right now, Morgan Stanley has more than 44 trillion dollars in exposure to derivatives but it has less than a trillion dollars in assets.

Economist: Financial Collapse Will Cause Civil Unrest to Erupt In America By 2016

http://www.shtfplan....y-2016_11072014

I don't know about this. I can easily see a counterpoint to this argument. Why 2016? This is when the next US presidential elections is going to take place. Election time is a time for hope. Hope for change for the better.

Why would civil unrest occur during a time for hope?

And what about the police?" asks Armstrong. "Is this just turning into thugs with badges who just enforce whatever law some nut-job politician writes? What if they passed a Herod type law to curb population and decree that everyone must k*ll their first-born. When does reason ever return to the police force these days? They no longer protect the people – they protect the politicians against the people."

=========================================================================================================

Riots which rocked Ferguson, Missouri earlier this year and threaten to reignite should Officer Darren Wilson be acquitted illustrate how single events can spark sustained social unrest.

Insofar as police in America are concerned, I think the bad behavior displayed by some cops in America has been going on for many many years now. It's just that there are more modern technological advances such as CCTVs, dash-cams, and mobile phones which makes it easier to document police violence and abuse.

Besides, what media reports are incidences of bad police behavior. Media does not report the majority of instances where police presence played a crucial role in maintaining the peace. I think media is over sensationalizing the bad behavior of some cops, making the public feel that ALL COPS are bad. Sensationalizing high profile stories such as the one in Ferguson, Missouri as well as other parts of the country is meant to boost ratings by taking things out of proper context. Media does this at the risk of misinforming the public to the extent that public sentiment of the police is one of anger and distrust.

National Economic Suicide: The U.S. Trade Deficit With China Just Hit A New Record High

http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/national-economic-suicide-the-u-s-trade-deficit-with-china-sets-a-new-record-high

I agree with this article. For years, manufacturing in the United States has declined while manufacturing in China has simply exploded. Today it's rare to find something that's made in America. Everything you find nowadays is made in China.

There was a time, not too long ago, when buying something made in the USA was something to be proud of. It meant buying something that was durable, dependable, and made in the greatest country on earth.

On the other hand, buying something made in China was laughable because of the very poor quality of Chinese-made products. Actually, I still think a vast number of Chinese-made products are still of very poor quality. Items such as Christmas lights, certain food products, and certain medicines made in China should be avoided. Chinese capitalism is extremely unbridled with very little oversight by the Chinese government. Hence, the proliferation of cheap, dangerous, and poor quality Chinese-made products.

Chinese products that are manufactured UNDER LICENSE by companies operating out of the United States, Europe, and other countries are the ones of good quality. Digital cameras, televisions, mobile phones, etc. are just some of these well made products made in China.

Thing is, these products are manufactured at a fraction of the cost it would have been if these had been manufactured in the USA. Blame the high cost of labor in the US for this. Many manufacturing companies in the US decided decades ago to transfer their manufacturing operations to China because labor costs there were much lower.

It has even been argued that many Americans enjoy all the modern conveniences because these are now affordable. Made possible by lower manufacturing costs in China. If these products were made in the USA, it is argued that many Americans simply wouldn't be able to afford these.

Today, labor costs in China are on the rise (because of international demand). Which may necessitate American companies returning their manufacturing operations to the USA.

China owes its prosperity to the US and other countries which transferred their manufacturing operations to that country.

Now it seems that cycle is about to change. I'm hoping for an exodus of manufacturing companies returning their operations back to the US. If that means less Americans will be able to afford American-manufactured products, then so be it. A little sacrifice on their part will mean putting a rein on the Chinese economy. American companies may offset lower sales partly by transferring some of its manufacturing operations to other countries (aside from China of course) such as the Philippines in order to lower over-all manufacturing cost. In so doing, such a move could also strengthen the economies of these countries which in turn could counterbalance Chinese military might.

China's prosperity is now becoming a threat to its neighbors in Asia including the Philippines. If China becomes the next military super power in the world, we can thank the short-minded policies of the US and US companies which are responsible for China's meteoric economic rise.

awesome article. disgusting how they play around with the fate of nations just like that. no wonder why we haven't gone up from this mess we're in. whatever the outcome of the 2016 elections may be it will still be the same s@%t haha.

Well it's common knowledge that America is covertly involved in what goes on in other countries. Sometimes it trys to subvert a particular government and replace it with a government that will benefit the US cause. Sometimes, it just merely observes what's happening and doesn't interfere (eg. North Korea) because the country itself isn't important to American interests.

Countries that are important to American interests include oil-producing nations in the Middle East (eg. Kuwait) and countries that are strategically located (eg. Philippines)

It's a known fact that the first Gulf War began in order to liberate Kuwait from Saddam Hussein's occupation of that country. The US couldn't afford to have it's flow of oil disrupted by someone like Saddam. Hence the war.

The Americans' need for the Philippines after the WW2 meant extending the lease of Subic and Clark air bases. These bases were so strategically important for the US that it supported any Philippine leader who advocated the extension of the two American military bases. This fact explains how FM lasted as long as he did.

After Pinatubo destroyed the bases, the US determined that it was not economically viable to maintain these bases given the cost of the clean-up. That, together with the Philippine Senate's decision to end the lease of the military bases, spelled the end of American presence in the Philippines.

Lately, however, the US has determined that it still needs the Philippines because of it's strategic location particularly because of its proximity to China, which poses a threat to both the Philippines and other Asian countries. The US wants to ensure that the balance of power in this region is not compromised by the growing Chinese menace. It is within the interests of the US government to project its influence in the South China/East Philippine Sea.

So the bottom line is that the US will do what it has to do in order to ensure that its interests are protected. If we benefit from this, it's only incidental. It would be foolish to think that America wants to project its military presence over here in order to defend the Philippines from Chinese aggression.

The time will come, eventually, when the US will no longer consider the Philippine as a strategic location for its military. The growing number of American carrier fleets all around the world will make the need for a strategically located country obsolete. America can deploy its military assets anywhere on earth within 24 hours. It's this capability which may make the Philippines less attractive to the US in terms of strategic location.

USA is interested in our natural resources in the South China Sea! Anything that they can exploit as we all know the Fracking Hoax is about to burst then another financial disaster awaits the US & the world economies! The Saudi is dumping oil prices to new record lows to damage the US Shale industry! As everything is interconnected! As long we use the dollar as a world currency then we will all be slaves to the US Federal Reserve Bank! Good thing BRICS countries and others starting to realize this, we already have AIIB to counter ADB and soon the BRICS bank to challenge the IMF/ World Bank!

I hope we have a change in government in 2016! One who will stand for our countrymen and not to their own interests! US should not be welcome back in our country so we should say no to EDCA! Took us years to boot them out and here they are again! Ala Terminator keeps coming back! But I doubt our leaders do this, so I hope in the US elections in 2016 they can have a new president who is anti-imperialists! One who is not owned by the banks nor the big corporations! A lot of Americans now are disenfranchised with their current state! I will not be surprised if they do end up in a second Civil War or the US fragmenting into several countries like what happened to the USSR in the 1990's.

Definitely people starting to realize the end of the US hegemony and only the neocons in Washington are in denial of this with their too big to fail attitude! AS the US gov. itself is preparing for a massive civil unrest, hence the creation of NorthCom Army and the Dept. of Homeland Security! Yes these were created not to stop terrorist but to uphold the current US Status Quo! Nobody will dare to wage war against the US hence challenge will be from within (Civil War/ Peacefull Revolution)! Russia and China will be in their defense but never to launch an all out strike to the US mainland!

For too long a time, American companies have invested its manufacturing facilities in China, creating jobs in that country and contributing to the overall prosperity of the Chinese. On the other hand, the transfer of manufacturing operations to China has contributed to unemployment in America.

The article below is good news for the Vietnamese. These are the types of job-creating investments we badly need in the Philippines. Hopefully, one of these technology giants will see fit to put up their manufacturing plants over here.

Michael O. Billington is an activist in the LaRouche Movement, Asia editor for the Executive Intelligence Review, and author of Reflections of an American Political Prisoner: the Repression and Promise of the LaRouche Movement.

Billington graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut in 1967. He then joined the Peace Corps, where he taught Mathematics and Music, first in Guyana, then in Thailand. Upon returning to the U.S. he joined the LaRouche movement in 1972, in the early stages of the movement's history. His wife, Gail, and his brother, Joe, and his sister, Margaret Greenspan, were also members of the movement.[1][2] Billington's book provides an "insider" look at the history of this highly controversial movement.

Billington ran on the U.S. Labor Party platform for County Executive of Westchester County, New York in 1977, and for New York's 24th congressional district in 1978.[3]

In the latter part of the 1980s, there were numerous criminal trials of LaRouche movement leaders (see LaRouche criminal trials) that were alleged by LaRouche supporters to be political show trials. Billington was tried and convicted twice, first in Federal court, then in Virginia state court. He served two years of a three-year sentence in the first case, and was then re-tried in the state of Virginia and sentenced to 77 years, of which he served 10 before being paroled.

Billington was charged with four counts of conspiracy to commit mail fraud in federal court and was convicted along with six associates. The case was appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, which let stand the convictions of Billington and his associates. He served two years of a three-year sentence.

Billington was charged in Virginia State court with nine felony counts of "conspiracy to be an unregistered securities broker". Prosecutors charged that Billington solicited 131 loans from 85 people that totaled $1.24 million even though he knew the money would not be repaid.[4] Billington asserted his innocence and refused a plea bargain that would have resulted in being sentenced to the time already served in federal prison. LaRouche reportedly told his followers to become martyrs and promised that "honorable deeds shall be legendary in the tales told to future generations."[1] Brian Gettings, his lawyer (who had previously defended LaRouche associate William Wertz in the 1988 Federal trial involving LaRouche, Wertz, Billington, and four others),[5] told the court that he believed Billington to be incompetent to make decisions on his own, but a court-appointed psychiatrist deemed him competent. The judge requested a second evaluation but Billington refused.[1] Billington tried to have his attorney replaced, and Gettings himself asked to be removed, but the judge refused permission.[1][6] According to Barbara Boyd, Billington's attorney had not prepared a defense, assuming that Billington would "cop a plea," and the judge refused to permit Billington to substitute a different attorney, despite the fact that one stood ready.[7]

At the state trial, held in Roanoke, the prosecutor said that Billington was "ruthless" in his fundraising from old people who "look upon him in such a close and trusting fashion that they would do whatever he asked." His mother testified that he "can talk you into or out of just about anything."[1] Billington reportedly offered high interest rates and promised lenders that the money would be safer than in a bank.[8] The jury convicted Billington on all nine counts and recommended a sentence to 77 years. The judge accepted the jury's recommendation because he had warned he would do so if Billington insisted on a jury trial and because Billington showed no remorse. He served eight years of the sentence before being paroled.[9]

In 1990, his bank accounts, along with those of Laurence Hecht and two LaRouche enterprises, were seized to fulfill a judgment related to $260,000 obtained from an 88-year-old man suffering from dementia under misrepresentations.[10]

As LaRouche concluded in his address to the Nov. 16 radio show quoted above: "I have had a long-standing special attachment to the Philippines, and I am very much concerned for its integrity and sovereignty and well-being today.

At ano naman yang special attachment sa Philippines na yan? Bakit???

Galing sa isang activist na convicted sa fraud ... Baka pinagloloko lang kayo nito.

Posts here seem dated and redundant. It lacks common sense. The Chinese are the largest US financiers holding the most US Bonds. Thus if war erupts, the US stands to gain by not honoring its obligations to a hostile enemy. Also, the Chinese funding somewhat paid for the recent US military contracts that have upgraded defense and cutting edge offense capability that were covered by US government securities. A Chinese vs USA war is completely tilted against China.

There is also the question of Chinese government financial integrity of stuck funds in US Securities. If China got a lot of funds in US Securities, how can they account for Chinese military buildup they made? Where did the funds come from? My conservative guess is that China made a financial hocus pocus - the real reason for its desperate military expansionist strategy which had btw, stepped on the toes of Japan and Russia - among others.
