if the planet doesn't collide with some rogue heavenly body, then it will be consumed by the sun when it enters the red giant stage (suposedly 7-8 billion years from now). Being flung into space from a comet strike seems better than having to endure the gradual incineration from the sun. At least you'll get a nice view before suffocating (and de-pressurizing).
