I'm just waiting for the MTC server to stabilize so that I can post more korean food trip pics in the FOOD TRIP FR THREAD. (actually a lot of the pics will show the BAN CHAN)

 

Ah I thought I was the only one having probs with this site.

 

Anyway, will look forward to the Korean Food FR. I hope to eat really good Korean food when I get to Manila (very soon) but unfortunately no more moms to cook for me! so I have to get the food at a nice resto.

 

Yes, Ban Chan photos would be good! Some restos just serve diff. kinds of kimchi as Ban Chan and that's no good for me 'cause I still have not acquired the taste of kimchi. Tsk. One of my favorite Ban Chan is this fish (looks like dilis), spicy, a bit salty and a bit sweet. Parang lutong Pinoy lang.

Ingat llang ako lagi sa kimchi (kasama ko sa apt mga Koreans and I used to wake up on Saturday mornings to the smell/stench of kimchi being prepared). But I'm addicted to it.

meron ba kayong alam na resto na nagseserve ng authentic na jjampong? my husband is addicted to the Lucky Me version, but i'm not sure if they serve jjampong in Yedang. Do you have any place you could recommend? thanks

I love Galbi, Bibimbap and Bulgogi.

My husband's part korean and his absolute favorite is Kimchi Chigae.. I tried to make it one but failed, I'm really good at making Kalbi though

 

I LOVE KOREAN FOOD so much more than Filo food forthe main fact that it's a lot healthier and it doesn't make me feel like I'm about to have a heart attack after the meal. Haha!

I tasted it when I was in SK ,it taste like pork sisig...never knew it was dog until a friend of mine told me it was a dog meat

I love beef bolgogi which you cook yourself on a stove at the center of the table. I also like the side dishes which normally inclued kimchi, dilis, beans, tofu, and other vegetable.
