redshirt
Guys can anyone suggest a good watch that I can wear with a suit or a pair of jeans. I mean something versitle... Ano acrylic/rubber bands but I want a metal strap. A brand with good after service and with lots of repair centers. A watch that I could use for say like 30 years or maybe even more... My budget would be $500-$600 (US) or PHP20k-PHP30. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
vanexel
i dont think theres a watch that will be good for 30 years and will cost only 500 to 600$, vintage seikos would be great, but i dont think there would be any swiss watch that would fit your description, a low end tag heuer maybe, or tissot Quote Link to comment

Are those Ball, Oris and Tudor watches way out of my budget? Quote Link to comment
gerrylb
^^^Oris would set you back around PhP20k at the least. Ball, the cheapest I've seen was around PhP35k. Tudors are even more expensive. A nice Seiko Knight or Samurai on the other hand would cost around PhP6-8k and last you at least a decade. Quote Link to comment

I was looking for a watch with thin metal straps anyway so that I can wear it on formal occations. Because let's face it, you can be wearing an audemars piguet but if it's a divers watch youd still look like a shumck... BTW is there like a store where there are a lots of seikos on display so that I can make some selections... thanks. Quote Link to comment
MODERATOR bonito99 Posted April 13, 2008 Author MODERATOR Share Posted April 13, 2008 Washington, prestige watches or any mall based store. Farmers cubao for Seiko. Check out the Zeno brand at the Rockwell mall. Or Poljot. Quote Link to comment
extrarice3
All I need was a scratch proof watch with date, so I got me a fine Tag Heuer Formula 1 (white face). I thought I'd be satistied with it until I saw touch screen T-touch Tissot with temp, baro, compass, etc. at a touch of the screen. Whos had it? Post your review here. Quote Link to comment
