it has an old "5" logo and says seiko sportsmatic deluxe, diashock 21 jewels. bought it without knowing what it was and if it could still be resurrected

 

currently undergoing "overhaul" at the seiko service center.

 

anybody know when this watch was produced?

maybe a larger and nearer pic vwb...as well as a pic of the caseback...then ill referenced it with the seiko-citizen watch database...but that looks like a genuine vintage sports 5 if am not mistaken...well, we'll see

 

very nice, and very addicting this hobby has become...and you're turning to a WIS so early at this satge

@koops- ok the first thing i do after i get it back from the service center is take a macro shot and post it here. kaya lang, i get it back on the 22nd....ang tagal naman! this afternoon i will be in cabanatuan and tomorrow angeles. before the first thing i would look for were vintage audio gear. now because of you guys, gonna look for seiko divers first hehehe

hi!

 

i just bought a hamilton field mechanical but i dont like the strap (its leather on the bottom and canvas on the top)..

 

i plan to replace it with either a leather only or a nylon(NATO style) strap. I read a few pages back from someone here that nato style straps are available in rizal avenue. i was wondering if you guys know whether 2 pc straps are available there, as i have tried the 4 ring 1 pc type and these scratch the case back.

 

also, do any of you know where to get good quality leather straps? (preferably with contrasting stitching colors) the ones in the watch shops in SM kinda look cheap and the ones sold in lucerne have prohibitive prices (7K!?)
