bonanas
Really felt good watching our Gilas team winning against Cambodia in the recent SEA Games. This team battled the surmountable odds stacked against them. For starters the roster being not the best roster out there, the team formed short notice, the unfriendly state of the playing court/stadium, shitty practice facility, Troll coach, all-American line up, and the refs giving the home team the calls (which is not a surprise). This team is something to be proud of and just embodies the Puso battle cry. No matter how the odds seem to be stacked against us, just fight on with whatever we have, pour our hearts out and the result will speak for itself. Quote Link to comment

Pepe23
Face it. Quote Link to comment
yoshimura
hinde nmn tlga tayo lamang sa asia.. bronze nga lng hirap at di nten makuha sa asian games.. tignan nten this year anu mararating nten s asiad.. Quote Link to comment

abduljackolsalsalani
Agree with you. Outdated ang style of play and coaching ng PBA. Holdovers ng 80s-90s era. Ron Jacobs/Tim Cone coaching style is good but needs updating. We need to adapt to the European style. Yun plays since meron na din tayong height, isolation plays at postehan pa din na kulang ng time ni Paras at Patrimonio. Skill sets puwede na pero we could do better with good player development. Yun spirited comeback bihira mag work sa ganito competition. Other than monetary part ng pag alis ng mga good players natin sa Philippine league e baka growth at lumang methods pa din tayo. Yun point guard sana the night before the game tumakbo na sa isipan mga plays for 48 minutes. Iba race, slow twitch, longer time to fatigue. Tayo naman mixed kaya plays natin should be fast paced papagurin agad sila. Lahat sila dapat puwede basta kunin high percentage shot. Develop din 3 point shooting at ilayo three point line sa leagues natin para pag world stage, mas malapit madali na lang. Same old formula tapos expecting tayo different result. Next time sana mas ok na kahahantungang. Quote Link to comment

Read the article that even Coach Yeng has already realized through the Jones Cup that our coaches need development also. Something that Coach Tab has mentioned before but got a lot of heat rather than understanding. Quote Link to comment
DellPromate
I hope this will be enough learning experience for the team and we start to make changes after this FIBA World Cup. Time to put those "learnings" into improvements. Para naman we can catch up with our Asian neighbors. Then sana we can still qualify for the next WC and win some games there. Even just entering the 2nd group phase would be enough I think. We can take it step by step from there. As long as we're improving. Quote Link to comment

jaszy1
Hahah. Nakakasawa na ang matalo. Winnable naman ung first 2 games. Quote Link to comment
