RED2018
Coach Tab has this scheme of experimenting on tune up games. And the scenario (venue, fans, at stake, attitude, etc.) is just very distinct on actual competition; thus, its not always a clear indication or gauge of how we will actually perform on the game/s that really counts. Let's just hope they obtain their chemistry on time...and sustain them throughout the OQT Quote Link to comment
kind patron
I hope Gilas gets lucky this OQT para di sayang tickets namin. Hot Shooting + Crowd Support + Opp's Cold Shooting Quote Link to comment
daphne loves derby
i hope coach tab really got to his senses on that abueva cut. if height is the main concern, then he should remove reyes and go with calvin. Calvin sometimes plays the no. 2 position in Alaska with this kind of lineup in the PBA (Thoss, casio, manuel, import, abueva) Ryan reyes doesnt play the PG spot effectively anyways. Much better to make Parks the PG. Abueva's energy and defensive hustle is irreplaceable in that team. Wag naman sana dahil sa influence ni "chup" reyes at ni Papa MVP... Quote Link to comment
Number35
Full Support on Gilas, It just really sucks that Calvin is cut, wew. Biggest Heart. Quote Link to comment
jasonrestrella13
Full Support on Gilas, It just really sucks that Calvin is cut, wew. Biggest Heart. Yes tough for all of us who know how hard Calvin plays and his possible contributions. I'm sure Coach Tab has reasons for the 12 remaining players. Probably to utilize height and athleticism against other players. Let us just support the team regardless of those who made the cut or not. The team needs every Filipino's support so we can qualify. Good win against China! Quote Link to comment
*badass*
Absolutely...it's not about the players anymore. This is about our country now. The 12 man gilas team are all deserving of their slots. Let's all be one nation in supporting our team. LABAN PILIPINAS!!! Quote Link to comment
Soraoi_empire
Hindi naman totally nawala sila LA at Calvin, nasa reserve list pa din sila at kasama pa din sila sa mga practice game ng Gilas. Anyway babalik na pala yung team natin dito sa pinas. Isang tuneup game na lang ba sila against turkey ulit? Quote Link to comment

bughaw1
Do we really have a chance against France? Quote Link to comment
bangad
Do we really have a chance against France?i think slim ang chance considering halos nba calibers ang lineup - batum, de colo, diaw, lauvergne and parker. but it would still be entertaining to see both romeo and parker dancing with each other. gilas against new zealand, tough malalaki ang kiwis pero mukhang may chance tayo. puso! ppdd
Gilas 4.0 lost again to Turkey in their last tune up game.. pero mas maganda na pinakita nila ngayon, losing by just 9ptssayang yung mga free throws, dami natin namintis.. pero there's still time to adjust Quote Link to comment
*badass*
i think gilas 4.0 still have a lot to show. come the qualifying and with a jampacked moa arena, expect team pilipinas to give it all. Quote Link to comment

smyts
Too many help defense, they forgot euro basketball is more of shooting. All euro basket players can shoot 3 and are good free throw shooters. That is why, NBA players are trained to defend 1 on 1 during practice. Perimeter defense is Gilas weakness on defense.
